You are right it is not linear...but Obama said he would bring the troops home, close Guantonomo, cut the debt, and drop unemployment. Those were his 2008 campaign promises.

 

You don't want to hold him accountable for anything he says and promises. He is a failed leader. A person who promises more than he can deliver, and a man who is in a job way over his ability level. We have no more time to see if he can grow into the job.

You may be right. Can you speak to the Hope and Change campaign promise of the debt being cut in half in four years? If four years ago someone would have said, " he is not being honest,the debt will actually inrease by 60%. Would you have believed that? And if by some miracle you did believe it, would you say, well that's good, he still has my vote.

That was the wrong kind of spending, that spending was generally on wars not on the demand side of the economy. Demand is created by cash in the pockets of people working and buying things.
