Carl "Skip" Hicks was the mastermind behind that great '82 defense.

He did give those guys alot of freedom to do what they wanted because most if all of them, already knew what he expected out them.

I think Fischer and Dougherty called the defense and guys like Abner, Dierig, Barth, Herrman, Cottingham, Ulbricht, Spritsky, Kremer and Abely took care of business. :notworthy:

 

I think Highlands had 6 or 7 All State Selections on that Defense. And that is back when there were only 4 classes.............:thumb:

Have you seen this guy lately? Dude is ripped up and could probably still play Middle Linebacker. Where did Ryan play in HS? What kind of size did he have? I stay in touch with him on FB, he lives down in Florida now but he is huge.
