August 22, 201214 yr You have to look at the series as a whole, and what pitching matchups give you the best chance of winning. If Bailey is one of the top 3, pitching him on the road gives you the best chance. You guys worry too much. Dusty will run the numbers and have it all figured out. What happened to your, "Trust in Dusty" idea?

There is no scenario where you would prefer Homer pitching 2 games and Cueto or Latos going once. If you have to go with 4 starters would you reall want Homer being the only guy going twice? You use your best guys first and if you get beat at least it was with your best. If Homer goes game 1 bc your afraid to pitch him in a home what do you do in game 4 or 5 at home? Also Homer has a better chance against everyone's 3rd best starter than their ace.

August 22, 201214 yr Stubbs has no concept of the strike zone. Just stands there with the freaking bat on his shoulder. I can't wait till they trade his clueless butt.
August 22, 201214 yr Author Padres 3 Pirates 0 after 1. All aboard the life boats. The ship is taking on water at an alarming rate. Cutch isn't hitting .500 anymore to carry them.

Their two best pitchers should pitch the first two games. Homer has a better chance at beating someone's 3rd best than their 2nd best. The real problem here is a team works all year to make the playoffs, earns a better record and has to go on the road for the first two games of a 5 game series. That's almost as dumb as human element guys claiming theres no need for replay or expanded replay b/c umps have always messed up calls so why start getting them right now even though they have the means to correct them.
