That Dickey fella is seriously just smoke and mirrors people.

He most certainly is not. Smoke and mirrors doesn't get you a sub 3.00 era. Plus, he's really figuring out how to control the knuckleball so his first few years really don't matter. He's Wakefield + 10MPH's. And Wakefield was definitely not smoke and mirrors.

He magically figured all this out at 37? I agree with UKMF, he's smoke and mirrors and his numbers are starting to come back to earth.

He was sub 3.00 two years ago and just over 3.00 last year. Imagine never throwing a knuckleball for the first 30 years of your life. Yeah, it would take some getting used to.

The lower seeded team is home for the 1st two games of the first round. Thus if the Reds are #2 seed, they'll be on the west coast for games 1 & 2 and home games 3-5.

Yep and less than half the people I talk to about this realize it. It makes zero sense to me that they did this.

Cozart 6 Stubbs 8 Phillips 4 Ludwick 7 Bruce 9 Frazier 3 Rolen 5 Mesoraco 2 Bailey 1 vs. RH Harvey (1-3, 3.63)

Is it just me or does Mesoraco lack fluidity when receiving the baseball?

I'm really starting to wonder myself whether he is the Red's answer to a #1 receiver period, offensively and defensively. All the more reason I hated to see Grandal go in the trade with the Padres.

^Why because he hasn't torn the cover off the ball in his 8 PA's he gets a week?

I'll wait until he gets 400 ABs in a season to be the judge of that.

He gets more ABs than Cairo and Valdez and you said they were useless as two-dollar bills. By no means am I implying that you were wrong on them but just saying.

You all enjoy your little Red thread. I will disregard all future shots taken at me.

It will be hard to take shots if you aren't posting. What fun is that?

I'm not as concerned about his hitting. There are 7 other guys in the lineup that are paid to do that. There's only one guy that receives the ball from the pitcher 120 times a game.

Mesoraco needs 4 out of every 5 starts next year if he's the offensive force the Reds think he can be. I wouldn't change anything this year though.

BAILEY SUCKS!!!

Totally agree!
