August 15, 201214 yr Author Latos: 5-1, 1.83 ERA in his last 10 starts.....Allowed 2 ER or fewer in 9 of the 10....That's good, right? Cueto: 7-3, 2.55 ERA in his last 10 starts.....Allowed 3 ER or fewer in 8 of the 10. Is it safe to say the Reds have two legit aces? How is that trade looking now?
August 15, 201214 yr It's safe to say that I feel great about our 1/2. And not so great about our 3-5. If you had to pick right now, who is the #3 pitcher?
August 15, 201214 yr Author If you had to pick right now, who is the #3 pitcher? Arroyo for 3 innings, Homer for 3, then turn it over to the bullpen.
August 15, 201214 yr Arroyo for 3 innings, Homer for 3, then turn it over to the bullpen. Like I said last week. Arroyo 1-3, Homer 4-6, Marshall 7, Broxton 8, Chapman 9. Ball game. Edited August 15, 201214 yr by spindoc
August 15, 201214 yr It's safe to say that I feel great about our 1/2. And not so great about our 3-5. With Chapman in the rotation, you'd feel GREAT about 1, 2 & 3...
August 15, 201214 yr With Chapman in the rotation, you'd feel GREAT about 1, 2 & 3... Maybe. And nauseous at the end.
August 15, 201214 yr It's safe to say that I feel great about our 1/2. And not so great about our 3-5. The playoff rotation: Latos and Cueto and pray for tornado?
August 15, 201214 yr Oh boy. Jay Bruce has struggled this season at times but remember he is the only left handed batter in that line up right now, which means late he faces a lefty specialist. He hit that homerun off a lefty last night, which is tough. Arroyo has the second best win % of any pitcher in the NL the last 3 years on the road, so he would definitely be my 3rd starter in the playoffs. That stat blew my mind when I heard it. Nationals and Reds could be very good series!!
August 15, 201214 yr Arroyo without question. He would be my 3rd too; many people that I talk to believe that Bailey is.
