I watched Bruce's walk off that sealed the deal in '10 so many times that tonight just feels right.
That's the last time he hit a walk-off

Frazier on deck. BUNT

First rule in bunting is that you don't throw the bat at the ball. Has Frazier heard of pine tar, and if that doesn't work, try super glue.

The Cards will overtake the Pirates by September 1st.
Doesn't matter, the wild cards will come out of the east and west. Card fans get ready for next season, Pirate and Brewer fans get ready for the Steelers and Packers

From the looks of the picture, he either doesn't know how to shave or he has an extremely hairy forhead.

Glad the Reds got the win tonight. Young was throwing cheese and the Reds couldn't get ahold of it.

Bruce has been bad lately, glad to see him get the big hit and I hope it propels him into one of his hot streaks.

Oh yeah, this thread was hilarious to read through after the fact.

Reds have a larger division lead than any other team in baseball.

I figured you would go in hiding for a few days after your whipping boy saved the day. :D

I don't go into hiding. Before I forget he's not my wooping boy. When the Reds most dedicated fans on BGP say he is terrible at hitting, and it's not the same fans saying it every night, and the Reds announcers add in how badly he performs in clutch situations and even add in their tone voice the disappointment they are witnessing. How many times did he save the day earlier in the season when he went for a stretch 1 for 31. Then not long after that he went 1 for 23. How many times did he not get it done or srike out to end the game with the winning runs standing on the bases.Everbody knows it so, why can't you accept the fact that he not worth the hype.I know Bruce is still young , but he is stills swing at pitches over his head. I broke that habbit in the 7th grade, and I wasnt being paid millions of dollars per year to learn it.

The wooping boy saved the game for the Reds tonight congatulations, just curious , how many games has Jay Bruce saved the day for Reds this year.

Hammer I also haven't heard ,"where's Hoosier", so one two things can be happening. Bruce isn't playing good or you were hoping that I didn't see how badly he was preforming. It has to be pretty bad to notify me just for hitting a walk off homer over halfway through the season. I'll take it easy on you, he batting 240ish right now, give me a hollar if he breaks 260 average for the season.A blind nut gets a squirrel once in a while, maybe he will invite you over to dinner, for your support.

THERE IS ONE WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING.

I'm happy for last night's win, but even happier for Bruce's homerun. It was much needed and hopefully he will continue to hit with some consistency.

Dusty will probably bench him say he can't hit a knuckleball lol:bunny:

Really?

Latos: 5-1, 1.83 ERA in his last 10 starts.....Allowed 2 ER or fewer in 9 of the 10....That's good, right?

Cueto: 7-3, 2.55 ERA in his last 10 starts.....Allowed 3 ER or fewer in 8 of the 10.

Is it safe to say the Reds have two legit aces?

Yes.

It's safe to say that I feel great about our 1/2. And not so great about our 3-5.
