August 13, 201214 yr If the U24 or 23 rule was in this year...where would the USA have finished? Would Sterns U24 rule just be for team USA or for all NBA players on all teams. Good question, I would say if it's Sterns rule it would be an NBA rule which would make it a rule for any player in the NBA American or otherwise.

August 13, 201214 yr I'm in the minority, but it does not bother me like it does everyone else. Stern's job is to build the NBA, not American pride. He accomplished what he wanted in getting the stars to play starting 20 years ago and he enhanced the brand. I do not need the Olympics to know America has the best basketball in the world. If he can follow the soccer model and build it to a fraction of the World Cup's popularity then more power to him.

August 13, 201214 yr I can't think how much better the USA's second unit would have been w/ Rondo as opposed to Deron Williams. Any offensive flow dies as soon as Williams touches the ball. It drives me crazy watching players dribble for the sake of dribbling.

It would be interesting. Most players on other teams are older than 23. Heck, Argentina's average age had to be early to mid-30s.

August 14, 201214 yr I had no idea coaches don't get Gold medal. That's stupid. Stupid? Do you think the table tennis coaches should get a medal? How about the swimming coaches every time one of the athletes medal?
