Little League World Series

Featured Replies

I hear the Ky team is from Bowling Green. South Warren Little League, which I played in and was an All Star snub in 1986(politics), is up 5-4 in the 4th inning against Indiana for the right to got to the Little League World Series. Is that correct?

They need to move the bases and fences back for the LLWS. It's all singles and HRs. I used to like it but I'm not a big fan anymore.

I didn't realize Tony LaRussa won the South Warren little league in 1985? :sssh:

Is there any truth to the rumor that Coach Cal is trying to get the Ind/Ky little league game ended?

My coach was better than Tony LaRussa. :D

It was the other coaches who hated on a brother.

Someone sounds a little bitter still haha!

I know I'm in the minority probably but I could do without the LLWS, doesn't do much for me.

Game is tied 5-5 in the bottom of the sixth

Indiana at bat. Bases loaded, one out.

two outs

Indy wins 6-5

LL rules/dimensions were made for all kids and then postseason all-star tourneys make them foolish IMO.

Good game, tough loss for the KY team. I enjoy watching these games. I enjoy watching the kids and their reactions. I like watching the excitement of a kid after making a big play or getting a big hit. I feel horrible for the kid that misses a play or gives up a crucial hit and has tears welling up in his eyes. I could really care less about the dimensions and rules...none of this is going to make it impossible for these kids to play down the road in HS and beyond.

Jr. High and High School coaches love teaching players how to lead off and pitch from the stretch, etc.

Yeah, I hear it takes years to learn to do those things.
