When they got Soriano out, I stepped away for a second, I knew they were gonna put Castro on and just pitch to the rookie. Dusty. :ohbrother:

Why the hell did they just pitch to Casto? 1st base open, two outs and a rookie with all of 15 ML PAs to his name on deck????

Dusty thought it was Juan Castro.

Honestly I don't have a problem pitching to Castro there. I might have pitched around him, but most managers won't walk a guy to bring the tying run to the plate.

Because the guy calling the shots is an idiot. It's really that simple.

Actually Dusty would say that Castro hasn't had much luck against LeCure he was 0-1.

Most cases I agree. However, Castro seemingly kills the Reds and they had a 22 year old kid fresh up from AA (I believe) coming up. What gives you the better odds to get out of it unscathed?

Is anyone else starting to be concerned with the health of the bullpen? September can't get here fast enough to get those guys some much needed rest imo? Chapman, Marshall, Ondrusek and Arredondo near or over 50 appearances

Ludwick with his 3rd hit of the day. He's a triple away from the cycle. He's definitely out of the lineup tomorrow. Let's see if Paul can get in another run. I honestly feel the Reds will need it.

They are 4th last in IP from the bullpen. 26 out of 30 teams.

Wild pitch gets Ludwick to 3rd. All Paul needs now is a Sac Fly.

It will be huge when they can get Bray back. :D

Cubs obviously want no part of Paul. They walk him to get to Frazier.

Why throw the guy a strike, you can't walk him because he will swing at anything just like Soriano? Castro 19 BBs in 470 plate appearances. Soriano 25 BBs in 413 appearances.

And Frazier gets his 4th RBI of the game. 9-6 Reds.

Big mistake.

Camp is not coming to stop on his stretch. I can't believe the umps are not calling a balk on that.

Valdez now up. That should kill the inning.
