McDonald has allowed 30 ER in his last 6 starts. Only making it 6 innings once. That my friends is what we call back to reality. 8.71 ERA since All-Star break.

The Cubs were pathetic on defense. I literally laughed out loud a couple of times at the comedy of errors. I'm not even referring to the wind aided ones that are understandable to a certain degree, they had 3 errors in one inning all by infielders (if I'm not mistaken). The double error on the steal attempt was great, overthrowing the bag and then the CF Jackson overrunning the ball, high quality. What a terrible game and I'm just glad the Reds held on to the gift they were given.

Pirates and Cards both lose.

Pirates blew a 7-1 lead in their game.

The Pirates will not be a factor by the end of this month, Brewers will eventually pass them, I don't look for either wild cards to come from this division

Brewers will pass them? Come on now. Drink some coffee, and get back with us.

If the Pirates go 25-25 the rest of the year the Brewers would have to finish 37-14 to pass them. That seems logical to me:clap:

If they collapse like last season, the Brewers wouldn't even have to do that good. It's a stretch, Pirates need another bat, Brewers just playing out the season. What amazed me about their weekday games against the Reds was drawing 30-40 thousand a game and being completely out of any kind of race, so the support is there to keep them from completely tanking:idunno:

Those numbers are from season ticket sales. The actual attendance wasn't close to that.

Having an Irish one:thumb:

So when the Reds only draw an announced crowd of 20,000 on Monday-Wednesday games, there's really only 12-15 thousand there, right? or does this only apply to other teams in the division?:confused:Have the Reds had a crowd above 30,000 for a Monday or Tuesday game? Anyone? I really don't know. They did have the best record in baseball for awhile there, Brewers way out of it

The box score list around 40,000. I don't know how much Miller Park seats, but it looked like it was pretty close to capacity watching the game.
