Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too early. Most people not paying attention. The debates will decide this election.

Agree on "too early."

Completely disagree on the impact of the debates.

What's sad is people are going to vote for Obama and he is already the worse President ever, 4 more years and America may never recover and too think of all the laws he runs through as he acts like supreme dictator.

Romney is sure tripping all over himself on his trip overseas. He is almost writing campaign ads for Obama with the PR mistakes. I can not believe he did a campaign fund raiser with the Barclays people in England. Mitt needs to get his act together fast.

Actually, the national polls have been tightening a bit. Obama still has strong leads in the important states, but I wouldn't say his lead is anything but tentative. No one knows what event could switch the dynamic overnight.

I know people will jump on me about it, but Romney is a very bad candidate. An honest Republican could easily be winning. As depressing as some of the economic data is, people aren't buying Romney. He's spineless and he's trying to straddle a candidacy that both accounts for middle America and what has become extreme Republican talking points. It just isn't working.

Honest, steadfast, uncompromising, fill in the blank.

Does Romney think that him singing America the Beautiful is helping his cause?

Ole Mitt is setting up more Tax shelters in those foreign countries he's visiting. Mitt might be a worse candidate when its all over than McCain. At least we liked John for his service to our country.

Like many I think this is going to be very close.

President Obama will not have the excitement that was generated in 2008 ie less voters coming out. Economic record is certainly a problem. Will lose some states he won previously.

Gov Romney simply cannot get any excitement generated even within the base. Seems to stand for whatever people want him to stand for. Will run as a businessman which certainly can help in this election. He's not the incumbent which will help.

I was thinking this week that I've never been as ho-hum about two candidates in quite a while.

Close now but Barry pulls away because Republicans just aren't excited about Mitt. :thumb:

Will you agree that most voters, vote with their wallets?

If so, the big question is, do the majority of votes believe their wallets are flush with cash or are their credit cards maxed out?

It goes back to that old favorite - are you better off today than you were four years ago? The thing Obama has going for him is it was really bad four years ago.

Very True VOR! :thumb:

Indeed, are "You" better "Off Today" being the word and do "You" trust the current President to make it any better with another four more year, after his first four?

Has he made enough progress to let him continue or are "You" no better off today, than "You" were, four years ago?

That, I think is the $64,000 dollar question for each voter to make!

I was thinking this week that I've never been as ho-hum about two candidates in quite a while.

I believe this sentence summarizes the average American voter.
