Met alot of ST. X people in the playoff game @ St. X and the scrimmage last year at SK. Pretty good people, like to talk football.

I wonder if X will even throw the ball! :D

Who knows with the aforementioned stable of backs i wouldn't plan on it but then again what do i know.

Guess they will have to try to get away with grabbing jerseys cause our recievers are hittin the 4.25 mark!:D

At SK?

SMH
What does St. Xavier need to do to improve in 2012? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Let me try to get his thread bak on track. We can save the T and SK banter for their threads. This will be a much deeper team than last year and more size and talent than the past couple of years

OFFENSE

In order to improve coach Glaser must open up the offense. Gahafer will be a good signal caller and really throws a nice ball. Not so much of a runner

The o-line returns three 3 year starters the newbies on the o line are Big physical juniors.

Ends and wide outs are experienced .

The backfield is two deep with excellent athletes.Three juniors and one senior. All of whom saw significant playing time last year

DEFENSE

Middle-slightly untested but bigger than in the past. They will platoon 4-5 guys in the tackle spots

Ends- Roesler is fast and physical Ackerson can play and saw time last year as a junior. Backups are quick and getting bigger

LBs- clyburn is a man and combs is quick and a hard knocker

DBS and safeties- semersheim has D-1 potential. Strong all the way around

Next to Trinity, X plays the toughest schedule year in and year out-tough to argue with this fact

I for one expect great things out of this years bunch

^ my question is this? What are they going to do, to neutralize speed. It's no question they can out power just about everyone....but in today's game, I think speed takes precedence over power.

The o-line only returns one 1 year starter Troy Hart granted he's bigger stronger and more fundamentally sound than last year but only 1. This class of O-line who will start this year are stronger and bigger than last years though.

Ends are very experienced Polston and Corey Smith started last year. While wideouts aren't that experienced but talented very talented on an equal level with last year with more "go up and get it ability" but not as much speed as Wempe(4.4) and Hallet(4.4) from last year.

The backfield returns Charles Walker(full time starter), Brandon Moore(can also play slot and Db) who received some starts last year and has started off an on since sophomore year and other Juniors Trevyeon percell(5'9 195 4.4) and Austin Davis (5'10 215)

THe D-line will be much better With Lenny Broyles(5'9 300) from Trinty he saw time last year and Bauscher (5'10 305) and ofcourse Roesler and Ackerson will start as well

Lb's clyburn remains as he has gotten stronger and faster and Combs is as big as any backer there is

Dbs and safeties Semersheim and Clemons both run 4.4s and Hunter senn returns as safety.

In response to Rock Pride there is more speed on the field than in past years

Avid...I appreciate your analysis. You mentioned a lot of guys running 4.4's. Hope you are right. Coaches seem excited about this group this year. I've been watching X for many years and know that Vic Anderson ran a 4.37 at a camp at West Virigina prior to his junior year. 4.4 is pretty rarified air...hope you are close on all counts!

only mentioned 3 guys from this group running 4.4s (semersheim clemons and percell) Wempe and Hallett have graduated

Tiger. I am including Dawson and Tobe as well as Chris Martin whom saw quite a it of playing time

Is this by your clock or a X coaches clock or at a football combine? :D

ok well they all saw ample playing time

By The same Clock that clocked your kids 4.25

I think the Tigers will be a much improved team this year and will make some noise but I also believe that they are a year away from winning the state title.

I like our style 69...... Don't rule out a major league upset this year
