I am hearing the school is getting some good applicants.

Do you know of anybody that has applied? Any names that might surprise us?

Has Tom Posey from Mason applied?

Has Tom Posey from Mason applied?

I don't know if Posey has applied or is even interested but I will say he would be a good hire. He has been around a good program and coaching staff. He knows the game and would do a great job.

Who is Tom Posey? What is his coaching background?

Tom Posey was once the coach at Powell County High School. During his time there, the Pirates snapped a 33 game losing streak and made the playoffs for the first time in school history. His best season was 5-5 (I think), which was quite an accomplishment given the state of the program. For several years now he has been coaching one of theose All Star teams that travels to Australia to play. I'm pretty sure they won the tournament recently.

Lewis would do well to hire Posey. He is a man of great character and is an excellent coach. The main thing they will have to do to be successful is allow him to get quality assistants and give him enough support. If he applies he should be a finalist for the job.

"Tend to your biscuits."

8-9 applicants at this point.

What is the latest word? Who has applied? When are they doing interviews?

According to one source, February 20th.

I am hearing an asst from Nelson County is being strongly considered.

Who is in the running for this job?

Apparently Cubster has the inside track....who is in the running?

If Lewis County has any Thursday night games in 2006, and there are none in Ohio I am leaning toward making the long drive to catch a game. I have seen part of the stadium, when I was going to my two Mason County games over the years, and have always wanted to see one there since.

Any news on this one?

Heard Ray Graham has applied.
