There will be 9 interviews on Monday the 20th.

All I can say at this time. :sssh:

Jay what is the latest word on the interviews?

Any word out of Lewis?

Nine applicants were interviewed yesterday.

?????

I hope Bubba gets a shot. Nelson Co is crazy for letting him get away!

What's going on at Lewis....things seemed to be tight lipped there.

It will be Brandon Combs or a GA from EKU. I vote for Brandon Combs. He is ready and his wife is hot :fire: !

LOL, a man with a hot wife has got to be a good coach!

Brandon Combs is a quality coach, and fine upstanding man---lucky for him his wife is indeed hot.

I hope he gets this shot too! He's a great guy with a solid football background!

How does being an assistatn at 1-9 nelson county make you "ready" for a head coaching job?

Well knowing that he has coached not only high school for 6 years, but also coached tight ends at Eastern Kentucky University and been a football strength coach at University of Kentucky. I would say that if all of them found him qualified, that maybe a high school such as Lewis County would find him "ready" for the job. I don't know about you Houndman but I think you might want to check out some job histories of people before you make ignorant comments such as your previous one. You cannot judge a coach by one football season out of many.

If corbin went 1-9 next season, would that change the ability of the coaching staff?

I did check....and rechecked once i read your post to learn who this guy was.....he was at EKU very briefly, was a GA and NOT a position coach (I've heard that he left on very BAD terms) and probably just ran scout teams or something, and S&C GA at UK (probably didn't work with football, the real S&C coaches do football and basketball...these guys usually do like women's soccer or another minor sport).

He coached at Nelson last year, offensive coordinator I think, they averaged 9 points a game and were SHUTOUT 3 times......

You're right.....I'm surprised more people are not beating down his door.......3 shutouts, thats great if you are a DEFENSIVE coordinator....

but, at least his wife is hot....

and if CORBIN went 1-9......the coach would be changed. The only place where your record doesn't matter is that sorry year by year doormat football program in lexington at UK...oh wait, you said he worked for them!
