June 23, 201214 yr Author I could tell Bray was going to struggle just watching him warm up. He looked shaky and clumsy. Definitely not a good way to bring someone in for their first game. Btw, saw a guy catch two foul balls last night. Don't think that feat will make ESPN though. He always looks that way.
June 23, 201214 yr Author He's a clutz? He fell off the mound on one pitch. Not sure about a clutz, but definitely a klutz.
June 23, 201214 yr Not sure about a clutz, but definitely a klutz. :lol:Did I say I could spell? Actually, I once was a good speller. But I came one word short of going to the Scripts-Howard Bee in 6th grade...and suffered from Post Traumatic Spelling Disorder ever since.
June 23, 201214 yr Did I say I could spell? Actually, I once was a good speller. But I came one word short of going to the Scripts-Howard Bee in 6th grade...and suffered from Post Traumatic Spelling Disorder ever since. Scripps would not be happy to know that.
June 23, 201214 yr I love Sean Casey but when I listen to him all I can do is think about the player they traded away in 1999 to keep Sean Casey @ 1B for the Reds, Paul Konerko. His average of 30 HR and 87 RBIs and .282 average from 1999-2007 would have looked very good in Cincinnati's lineup during that period.
June 23, 201214 yr That was great base running by Father time. He went right with the 3rd baseman and they had nobody to cover 3rd so he could wait until they went to 1st with the throw and scored easily. Some of the youngsters should take note how he did that.
June 23, 201214 yr Cueto gave the Reds what they needed a nice 7 innings of shutout ball and now he can turn it over to the bullpen for a much needed end to the losing streak. Let's hope the bullpen doesn't wake the Twins up any so we can close this one out and get Mike Leake a win tomorrow.
June 23, 201214 yr Here's betting that Joey Votto gets a day off tomorrow. He's looked a little slow with the bat the last couple of games.
June 24, 201214 yr Rolen is 7-18 with 3 RBI since coming off the DL. We all said he should be our everyday 3rd baseman right?
June 24, 201214 yr Rolen is 7-18 with 3 RBI since coming off the DL. Hopefully he keeps it up but I just haven't seen anything in a while from him that says he will...
June 24, 201214 yr Cueto further solidifying himself as the ace, stopping a losing streak and hopefully starting a winning streak.
June 24, 201214 yr We all said he should be our everyday 3rd baseman right? If Rolen could be healthy for the remainder of the season and even hit .260 he should be the 4 game a week 3rd baseman. By no means can he play everyday and it is highly unlikely that he can stay off the DL for the remainder of the season. You saw yesterday how hard he wants to play but his body just will not hold up to the grind of the way he plays the game. His left shoulder will never get better from playing games and he needs that to catch up to the fastball and hit for power. Dusty will try to get him as much rest as he can but that will still be hard to do and keep him off the DL.
