Dusty made the wrong call not pinch running for father time.

Didn't see the game, but from what everybody said it didn't matter. GT said Stubbs wouldn't have scored.

The throw was off line. If Rolen had been sent, he would have scored. I do not take issue with Mark Berry not sending Rolen. If a speedy pinch runner is on base...who knows.

Too bad Rolen sucks...

If I thought he could do this the remainder of the season I'd get excited about tonight but let's see how he is a month from now.

He had a very good year last year, but I'm not a huge fan.

When Bray is right he is a great person to get a lefty out in a spot. You can't run him out there to pitch a full inning of mixed batters imo.

Pinch runner for father time?

This one made no sense to me. What have you got Wilson Valdez for to clean the dugout after the loss?

Leake is one of the fastest guys on the team.

He could have done that or even Bronson Arroyo is no slouch on the bases.

If you are going to sacrifice shouldn't you pinch run for him?

By all means you should.

That's what you get with a Dusty Baker team, boring, boring, boring! Too many of these guys take one base at a time, no hit and run, no attempted steals, no squeeze plays.

Didn't the Reds lead the league going first to third last year?

Valdez bunted Rolen over to 2nd. I'm not a Dusty fan, but it would have been a real neat move if somehow Dusty snuck him in to pinch run for Rolen afterward.

You don't send Stubbs with a good jump on that play...

It depends on 3 things; the jump, the speed of the runner and the strength of the arm on the fielder. If I'm coaching and Stubbs gets a decent jump with his speed he's going. That was not Jay Bruce in center field it was Denard Span who is not known for a big arm. In this case since Dusty elected not to run for Rolen, Berry made the right decision because while a good base runner Rolen is not fast by any means and probably would have been thrown out a big majority of the time.

Yes they did but what does last year have to do with this year?

Alright I missed who bunted the runner over as I was entertaining my granddaughter and never found out who he used there. Does that mean that there is no one left to run for him?
