well being you posted it, yes he was there and interviewing for the position.

I heard he will be announced today at 2:30. Great hire, especially for starting the process so late.

You are giving the GC admin a positive quote. Guru you need to start a thread on this.

What is Bracken Co going to do?

My first guess would be find a new coach.

Bracken should go after Johnny Poynter. He would be a good hire for Bracken.

Grant made a good choice.

This is a good hire for them for what I hear about Coach Siple. I will be following his progress at Grant County and good luck to him.

I would love to give more kudos. Classic response Commander 25!

This could be fool's gold. Siple did well at Indian Hill in Cincinnati, but they were in a mixed league. They were a bigger school in with smaller schools. IH was Ohio DIvision II (KY Class 5A), in a district/league with Ohio Division IV-V schools (KY Class 3A-2A). They were the biggest enrollment school. A couple decent playoff runs.

But good luck. He might do well. I hope so.

Kevin will do well anyplace he goes. Not many people realize how close he was becoming Covington Catholic's coach a few years back. He was in consideration but not chosen. That is a fact! I personally thought Kevin would of been a great fit at Dixie. Did he even interview? Kevin knows football. He played and graduated from Highlands, spent a few years at Campbell County and spent numerous years at Beechwood under Bernie Barre before leaving for Indian Hill. Far from fools gold!!!!

I would say he stays at Grant 3 years before he begins to look elsewhere again, unless some big time job becomes open.

My understanding is that Grant Co contacted him back in early April to see if he had any interest at all (thats not uncommon for schools to do that.) He applied in when the job became open and was the first interview Grant had.

Coach Siple is great at getting the kids in the right mindset, which is what Grant needs at this late stage in the game.

I will give props to Grant on hiring the right candidate (they have mishandled several things inside the school in recent years) lets hope that they support Coach Siple and start a new course for GCHS Football.

I believe that Coach Siple and Dixie talked about the coaching opening their but I am not sure whether he formally interviewed or not.

Strongly disagree. But as I said, I wish him well.

You sound sour!! And if I were you I would too. To lose a coach like Kevin is a huge loss no if and or buts about it.
