May 13, 201214 yr So you'd be cool with some guy that never met your wife talking to her in that manner? Those exact descriptive words? Sorry, it's disrespectful. I know I wouldn't allow it around my wife. Perhaps it our age difference, I don't know. If that makes me uptight, I'll proudly be uptight. I met my wife at the factory we both work at. She has heard and laughed at way way way way worse with way way worse language used. In person. Age difference may have something to do with it also. It's all good though. You know I love you regardless, RTS.

May 14, 201214 yr I don't want people to act like me, but I do know right from wrong. I'm not holier that thou...or anyone else. But if being cool and politically incorrect means going along with pornographicly lewd comments and questionable parenting decisions, then I guess I'll have to be labeled politically correct. Although, I just prefer to call it "correct." Seiously, I don't see how a parent can tell their son it's okay to have casual sex without love or commitment. I'm a looooong way from a politically correct prude -- just ask around. And I'm not trying to be a jerk...although I can see it's coming off that way now. I'm just trying to stand up for what's right. You are just trying to stand up for what is "your opinion of being" right. Which may not be what everyone agrees to. A few decades ago, that meant rear entrances, back of the buses, non-equal rights, and the removal of the red M &M's. And no...I'm not saying those are your standards. Just general standards of what was thought was right in the past. If 85 wants to raise his kids with a certain background, then so be it as long as it doesn't hurt them.......He has to live with the consequences....good or bad.
May 15, 201214 yr Wow....that was very soap box-ish. I will continue with the shallow funny replies from here on out.

May 16, 201214 yr We educated our kids about sex, along with all of the pitfalls, at an early age. As far as I know, neither engaged in sex while living under my roof. Well at least not while they were in high school. Mrs. S and I consider ourselves lucky. I can tell you how Dad handled the situation with me, though. Generational differences are in play here, to be sure. My parents realized that I had discovered the "IT", when I was 11 or 12. One afternoon Pop sat me down in the living room and explained the birds and bees to me as only the Sgt. Major could…. "OK, son. I know you've discovered sex, but I need to let you know what sex will do to you if you pick a loose girl and do it before marriage. If you have sex with the wrong girl, you'll get gonorrhea. When you get that your pecker swells up and gets infected. When that happens, the doctor takes this straw looking thing and shoves it up your penis. At this point he hits a trigger on the end of the straw thing and 4 blades pop out the end in your penis. He then yanks the straw out. He grabs a mallet that looks like your mother's meat tenderizer and beats the hell out of it. Then uses a rolling pin to get all the puss and blood out. He gives you a shot in the end of your manhood for the pain, but it will kill you to make water for a month or more and you can forget about having sex for a long long time, if ever again." He then turned and went off to feed the calves, leaving me there to ponder that. :scared: To this day, that talk creeps into my mind at the most inopportune moments. :sssh:
May 16, 201214 yr That's pretty good, Swamp. I think I'll use that on my 12 year old. It's about that time.
