Must not have had too many fat guys at the table haha!

What's even better: Chilli dip with cream cheese, chilli, and shredded cheese.

Love this, but it's a "heart attack" waiting to happen. Made a batch of this one evening, eat the whole thing with a big bag of Frito's, needless to say I was not feeling good the next day. :lol2:

You know? I've never had a Cincinnati Style Coney. I might have to scoot over to the Skyline on US 19 and check one out tomorrow, now that I'm eating meat again and all. I have to find out what all the hubbub is about.

By far the worse!!!!!! Dixie#1, followed by Gold Star.

I prefer my 4-way bean and cheese coneys no onion. However, when I was dieting a few years ago (South Beach), I got attached to "Coney bowls" (big bowls of chili with 3 whole dogs dropped in...no buns of course).

I love all types of Chili. Like many on here, I love Skyline, Dixie, Gold Star...you name it, I'm eating it.

With that said, there's a reason it is called "Cincinnati style Chili" and not "chili." It's not the type of hearty chili that you cook on the stove & eat on a cold Sunday in December. It's completely different, but just as tasty, in my opinion.

I know plenty of people that love the swill...I mean, stuff. My wife and daughter are both crazy about it.

I'm in the mind of Crocodile Dundee. You can live on it, but...

Yep, kinda the way I see it. Can't remember the last time I had it...it was a coney which is ok...I can't see sitting down and eating a bowl of it though. But hey, more power to the ones that like it.

It's not meant to be eaten in a bowl. That's Texas chili.

Well you got the first part of that right. Be honest with you, I'm not sure WHAT its meant to be eaten out of, in, on top of, under, etc.:idunno:

Just giving you NKY Cincy guys a hard time by the way.;)

I remember years ago when I was starting out as a fulltime employee in downtown Cincy. There was a Skyline at 6th and Walnut (not there now). For four straight work weeks (all 5 days), a couple of us went there and ordered the same thing every day - a 3-way, a cheese coney, an extra order of cheese, and a diet coke. It didn't help our waistlines, but it was glorious! After a week, the manager would have the food and table waiting for us at 11:35 a.m. when we would walk in. In college, as an alternative to "bar hopping", we would "Skyline hop". We would pick a night and travel to half a dozen (or more) different Skylines and order a cheese coney at each one. Skyline is the type of place where you can develop stories like these.
