LCA's Taylor Barnette has been granted a release from his LOI from UCF before he even steps foot on campus. Seems to have to do with UCF's troubles with the NCAA.

Barnette said “I don’t know right now,” but added that he hopes some of those schools and others will have an opening. Barnette is considered the best senior shooter in the state and was one of the top 10 seniors in the Bluegrass State last season.

“It’s early now, but it’s a full release,” he said.

 

Central Florida had a hearing last week in Indianapolis with the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions, one of the final steps of an ongoing NCAA review of major violations within the football and men’s basketball programs.

Another KY boy, Treg Setty from Mason County, is leaving a D1 school. Southern Ill. I believe it is.

I saw him this past summer. I'd say 6'1 to 6'2.

 

Bellarmine would be really good fit.

Haven't seen any of the Lexington area games since I moved, but remember seeing him play as a Sophomore and being impressed. 6'3 range with a beautiful stoke, seems like he had a decently solid frame for his size at the time as well. If he were at one of the perennial powers in the 11th, people would have probably heard much more about him.

He also missed about a month of play this year also which took away from his notoriety this season as well.
