Saving pitchers after an off day is a terrible idea. Dusty has a bunch of terrible ideas. I'm not a huge Lance McCalister fan but he's right that you kind of want to use Chapman when Cozart and Votto are coming up.

The more I think about it, that call on Stubbs at third base is about as bad a call as you will ever see in MLB. It wasn't even really a bang bang type of play. The throw was well off target. That gave the ump plenty of time to see the tag. The runner gets tagged on the hip as he is coming up from his slide and the ump still calls him out. That was one terrible call. I agree that it wasn't a smart decision but on the other hand, this team needs a spark so I am not going to get on Stubbs too much for being aggressive. If the ump makes the right call, maybe it energizes the team.

Harris has only one thing he can do respectably - draw walks. I say we put number 1/2 on his back and turn him into a modern version of Eddie Gaedel. Tell him if he ever swings the bat, he is cut.

If it takes Rolen out of the cleanup spot I am all for it. He struggles with breaking pitches. I am guessing Dusty thinks he will see more fastballs hitting ahead of Votto.

Heisey has a career average 3 points higher than Stubbs and amazingly strikeouts out at a very similar rate. Not much different.
