As long as the media keeps giving the Black Panthers attention and keep saying things like, "riots and a race war will break out if Zimmerman beats the charge" then all that is doing is fostering that kind of environment to take place if Zimmerman beats the charge.

April 12, 201214 yr I'm still waiting for the huge accusations you made to hit the mainstream media. If they are indeed true. The only way that hits the media is if the special prosecutor is really about justice. If she is about keeping her job and furthering her career, nothing happens and it goes away. The second degree murder charge is not a ploy to get a plea for 5-7 for manslaughter. While that might happen, there is sufficient evidence that this was a stone cold murder and nothing else. Prosecutor has more evidence that the liberal-biased, and headline searching media has let out. The one thing you need to remember: Zimmerman's supporters - the white guy who tries to flip phrases and uses obtuse analogies (Frank Taafe), and the Uncle Ben looking black guy (Joe Oliver) - both said in these exact words to various news outlets: "All Trayvon had to do was say he was visiting his parents, and none of this happens." Rememeber, who the heck is Zimmerman for Trayvon to answer to? That is the crushing evidence that Zimmerman was the aggressor. From that point in the meeting with Trayvon and Zimmerman, Trayvon was allowed to stand his ground. Remember, those words came out of Zimmerman's friend's mouths on national TV. As in Zimmerman accosted him, after being told by the dispatcher that we don't need you to follow him. Even the dispatcher's voice sounded as if he was shocked that Zimmerman was following the kid, almost sounded sarcastic when he told Zimmerman we don't need you to do that, "like OK Columbo, cool your jets." I've been one of the few on BGP whom has said all along, that this case isn't about civil rights as it is about human rights. Take away race, ethinicities, Skittles, 45 calls to 9-1-1 and think of it this very simple and practical way: a high school junior whom was an unarmed pedestrian was shot and killed, and the assailant was allowed to walk. No eyewitnesses that are that credible because of lighting. When crime on crime kills each other, it is what it is. But when an unarmed high schooler dies at the hands of a grown man under very murky and curious circumstances, a deeper look is needed. Zimmerman guessed wrong. We give real police the benefit of the doubt, not citizens who think they are cops. Self defense laws are always beatable in court by the defense, and beatable by the prosecution when the accused uses such a stand.

I had no idea they re-emerged until I saw it on here. It's my understanding that Fox News is giving them more pub than anyone else and that Fox News is perpetuating the race war angle as well.

If you've ever seen the movie "Panther" with Mario Van Peebles and Courtney Vance, about the Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale - the original Black Panthers - you'll remember there was a group running around using the name knowing they were not a part of the real panthers. This group offering a bounty and saying this stuff has been repudiated by the real group in California. They are not credible. But nonetheless they give the people backing Zimmerman fodder to say whatever. But I have heard about them through the media first and then saw posts on here.

It started with every outlet from the onset with virtually every article or story beginning with, "White vigilante male kills unarmed African American child" followed by the whitest picture they can find of Zimmerman and the 11 year old picture of Martin. If you reverse the races of the two you would not even hear of this story. Sad on some level, but true. The media is always clamoring for racial abuses.

It is already ahead of the curve when it comes to receiving national attention nationwide. 2.) No unarmed kids were involved. It's a much juicier story when you can write 'unarmed kid murdered' in the headline.
