^ He actually wants to be paid a good salary. That's what is wrong with him.

2 huge thumbs down to this signing.

Former New England Patriots running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis reached agreement on a three-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

He likely will replace Cedric Benson, who is a free agent, as the Bengals' featured running back.

Green-Ellis, 26, rushed for 667 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, sharing time in the Patriots' backfield rotation.

His best season came in 2010 when he rushed for 1,008 yards and 13 touchdowns.

He originally signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi.

Last season Green-Ellis averaged only 3.7 yards per carry and his longest run was 18 yards. Sounds a lot like Ced.

^ Based on what? Only thing impressive about him is he has no fumbles.

Whats unimpressive about it? If he's cheap and effective?

I don't dislike this move, but I think Bush would've been better. Of course, BGE is a touchdown machine, never fumbles, and if I recall correctly, is very durable.

I think we're going to see a two back system with he and Scott.

3.7 YPC last year. 1 1,000 yard season. We always get the cheap and "effective" guy. It's easy to be a TD machine when tom Brady leads you to the goal line and all you have to do if fall forward 2 yards.

^Are you opposed to him and Scott spliting carries....If you get each roughly 200 carries, the change of pace could be pretty effective. :idunno: I've always been a "Law-Firm" fan though.

I'm not saying he sucks and I'm sure they can do OK together but I just want more. Just kind of ho hum.

^There aren't any "stud" options out there though. While I think Bush is better, I don't think it's a significant difference.

I am not sure what I think but I do need some convincing!?

I think I would rather had Ced... The law firm is younger, but he doesn't scare anyone. He will be a back up in cincy, because they have to draft a RB now.
