I'm thinking the 49ers.

This is a tough question though.

There isn't even an argument. Two of the top 5-6 QBs of all-time in SF. Not even close.

It isn't fair to base it on just Super Bowls. Unitas played a large portion of his career in the pre-Super Bowl era. He won 2 NFL Championships in addition to a Super Bowl.

Fair enough. I need to see stats and championships(Super Bowl or NFL) before I can make an informed decision.

Are you saying Steve Young is a top 5-6 QB? Because I'd disagree with that. Id say he's top 10-15.

I think this is very debatable...

Packers - Starr/Favre

Colts - Unitas/Manning

49ers - Montana/Young

Favre/Starr-34 combined years

6 rings, 96,556 yards, 660 tds, 474 ints, 59.55%, 83.25 rating

Montana/Young-29 combined years

7 rings, 73,675 yards, 505 tds, 246 ints, 63.75%, 94.55 rating

Young's 4,239 rushing yards and 43 rushing tds must be mentioned.

Manning/Unitas-31 combined years(and counting)

4 rings, 95,067 yards, 689 tds, 451 ints, 59.75%, 88.05 rating

7 rings is a little bit deceiving. Young won 2 of those as a backup.

Using stats from different eras can lead to bad decisions.

I lean Johnny U/Peyton.
