I think the heat will fall more on LeBron and Wade than Spoelstra unless he makes some boneheaded decisions that cost them the title.

That's probably a valid point as I'm sure they will get some Heat, more so LeBron than anyone. But as I'm sure you know, the coach always makes a decent fall guy.

I don't think Cal's style of coaching translates well to the NBA especially with veteran players.

I do believe that Cal genuinely cares about his players and doing what's best for them. But, he also cares about his bank account or even more important, his family cares about his bank account. Finally, you don't get to Cal's level if you aren't hyper-competitive, I'm sure failing like he did in his previous stint in the NBA didn't leave a good taste in his mouth. As much as I pesonally believe Cal is a better college coach, I'm not sure if in private Cal wouldn' t mind a shot at NBA redemption.

I will say this....if he does ever leave UK before his contract is up then UK will probably be getting hit with sanctions or something. I can't fathom he would be that dumb to leave UK. I would be shocked.

Nick Saban and Darth Visor. Coach Cal needs to speak to these two coaches who don't belong in the pros. And the cards coach.

I hate to mention Cal and Pitino in the same sentence but if there is one thing Cal could learn from Rick would be to stay right here. I would bet there is not a day that goes by that Pitino doesnt regret leaving. From the looks of things it gets worse year by year. I would also think if they had any relationship at all Rick would advise Cal to stay put.

That's what I was thinking. I'm having a hard time believing he could pull in significantly more than what he is pulling in at UK.
