  1. Congrats to the Devils and a good season. Good luck to Belfry to rest of the way. I have a good friend who is a Belfy football alum and won a couple of state championships there a few years ago...he will be bragging about another Belfry win all week at school. Good luck the rest of the way guys.
  2. Looks like the Eagles offense is flying high...gonna make for a great show down next week at Ram Stadium. Seems like they need to tighten that D up a little bit but by the looks of it, Raceland is gonna have their hands full with Hayden and the bunch too. Congrats and the win and we'll see you soon
  3. The last two times Raceland has played LCA in the playoffs it has been an outstanding game. Hopefully the Rams will get Boyles back for this week. Not that I dont think Farley is up to the challenge but there is just something about having your two year senior started at QB that boosts a teams confidence and moral. I think the Rams need Boyles on defense at FS more this week then ever before so hopefully he will be in the lineup on atleast one side of the ball. Both teams are coming into this one with alot of momentum and confidence...I just have a feeling its going to be a special night at Ram Stadium. My prediction; No matter who is behind center, Raceland's offensive line and running backs have the advantage and will move the ball at will against the Eagles defense. The question is, will Raceland's DB's be able to stop LCA's passing attack. Last game the Rams shut down Hayden but had a little trouble in the secondary. But I cant go against my Rams. Great preparation and another great week of practice and they will be ready to go. Its going to be a another close one between these two for the 3rd year in a row. This ones gonna go into overtime; Raceland 33 LCA 30
  4. BTW from the looks of the game, seems like the Rams had another great week of preparation and scouting from the Ram coaching staff. Good job guys! Coach Hoof, TJ, coach Fannin, and all the rest of the staff, great job!
  5. Wish I could have been at this one but I was on the phone texting and calling to get info every 5 minutes! Congrats to the Rams for win #12! I hate to hear about the injury to Tyler Boyles, hopefully he wil be back for next weeks game. From what I heard Farley stepped in and performed well. That is a huge task for a backup qb that has never started a varsity game. He has a ton of talent and is going to be another great Raceland QB if he continues to work hard. Im very proud of the rest of the team also for sticking this one out w/o their starting qb and pulling together as a team. That shows just how well coached and talented these players are. Also congrats to John Scott Carver on one heckuva game! The kid is hands down one of the best all around football players I have seen in along time. Enjoy this one Rams, you've earned it!
  6. Sounds like John Scott is takin' care of business!
  7. Is the Boyles injury a concussion or shoulder injury? i have heard both from reliable sources.
  8. Good post Ram! I agree, you have to be able to adapt to your teams personnel in high school football. Its not like college where you can recruit players to fit your particular system. In high school you have to work with what you got and I think Raceland's coaching staff has done a great job of that even dating back to when Pettrey and those guys played. I know even in the 2006 season Raceland started running the ball a little more because Denton and Carver were so talented. I know Brett and John Scott get alot of credit but done overlook Tyler Boyles. He is a very good QB and he can hurt an oppossing team just as much as Denton and Carver if he has the chance. He is a good passer, no doubt but IMO he is more effective running the ball and making plays with his legs. Raceland has alot of weapons in the backfield and that has obviously been a huge part of their success. I hope they all bring it this friday!
  9. ok Im a little in the dark about this..guess I havent been keeping up with my local football news lately, I've been way to busy with homework! But anyways, what is the situation with Sammons? Was he fired or did he just step down?
  10. Looks like it going to be mighty cold out there friday night. I hope Doc will bring that heater down my way at half time!
  11. Congrats Devils. Good luck next week in round 2.
  12. Really suprised by this score. I figured West would have trouble getting a first down so I gotta take my hat off to them for putting up 28 pts. Congrats to Belfry on the victory.
  13. Looks like the Eagles are going to have their chance to knock off the Rams. Best of luck guys. Better buckle up those chin straps!
  14. Havent had the chance to see Williamsburg play but from what I've heard and read they have a solid team. However I have seen the Eagles play and have played against them myself back in the day, lol. I like LCA to move on and face the Rams in round 3, which should be another great game between the two schools. Williamsburg will be able to put up some points against LCA's D but I dont see them beating the Eagles in a shootout. LCA 40 Williamsburg 28
  15. I would love to see the Tomcats pull off this upset. They have a fairly young team and I believe they are still a year away from being a legit regional championship contender. Good luck to the Tomcats and hope all goes well. And I believe this one will be a little closer then people think. Highlands 34 Blazer 20
  16. Ram Fan04... I know what can happen, lol. As Im sure you do too. Fairview will come out fired up with hopes of pulling off the upset and knocking off the #1 ranked Rams and their adrenoline will carry them for a quarter or maybe two but in the end, Rams move on to Round 3 behind the tough running of Carver and Denton and that phsyical offensive line. Perhaps I sound a little too over confident for this one but this Rams team seems focused on their goal of making it to the carpet. Fairview moves of to the hardcourt while Raceland gets ready for atleast one more week on the gridiron. Raceland 42 Fairview 17 :fight::fight::fight:
  17. Good win for the Rams. Need to cut back on the penalties at the start of the game.
  18. Greenup runs some of the Franklin System stuff but IMO they are far away from running it correctly...they have a good QB but once again IMO he doesnt have the athletes around him to succeed.
  19. Rockcastle in fairly easy fashion... Rock 30 G.C. 15
  20. What style of offense does Clinton Co. run? Program history? Any info, I dont know much about these guys besides their record this year.
  21. Take it one game at a time Rams....dont be lookin forward to "you know who" here in a couple weeks. You have to get there first. Raceland will win this game big though. Rams 37 Clinton Co. 16
  22. Congrats Rams! Now its time for the REAL season to begin! PLAYOFFS!
  23. Come on now Ram, 6"4 265....I dunno about that. I'd say legit, 6"2 1/2, 250, 255 tops, but maybe Im just being picky.
  24. Very nice article about Robby. He is an outstanding linemen on both sides of the ball. IMO he has the perfect body for a defensive end in college but as the article stated, he needs to "play like a bully" in order to succeed as a defensive player in college. I dont think he has the size to play at an SEC school like UK but I do think he would have the oppurtunity to get playing time at a place like Marshall, EKU, or WKU. Wherever he does end up Im sure he will do well. Best of luck the rest of the season Robby and congrats on a great career thus far.
