Here's my take, as a BIG Camels fan. Great game, disappointing, but a well coached, well played, well officiated game. It was a battle from the tip off, to the final buzzer. Scott came out of the gate with both barrels blazing. It was easy to see the Eagles were on a mission, and wanting to make a statement, to the tune of a 21 point advantage I believe. During which time the Camels seemed shell shocked. After the enduring initial Eagle attack, the Camels dug in and began to return fire, cutting the halftime lead to 12. To me it seemed the Eagles slowed their attack beginning the second half, while the Camels continued to cut into the Scott lead, and play their way back into the game, overtaking the Eagles. It seemed as though the Camels had thwarted the Eagles plan for victory. However, the battle was wasn't over, Camels are stunned by friendly fire in the closing seconds of the battle and the Eagles Jake Ohmer, swoops in, and launches the bomb to end the confrontation in this hard fought battle, and the Scott Eagles are the victors. Good luck Eagles in the Sweet Sixteen, make the 10th proud :thumb:

I would like to point out the Psychic abilities of @lawildcat. I watched pregame, as she used her soothsayer, visionary, clairvoyant powers to scan available seating, to position herself, and her assistant, (Mr. lawildcat) to be front and center for the game winning shot. Well done. :thumb:

Just took one look frame by frame at Day's shot at the buzzer. Ref made the right call.

I said nothing about Geiman. I was just pointing out the +8 per game rebounding margin you had mentioned as an advantage for the Polar Bears. That wasn't the case in the 1st game against the Camels, it was -1

That rebounding stat would be more impressive if Bracken had out rebounded Campbell head to head.

My guess would be, Scott will spread Paris out, way out. You can't allow Ohmer to draw too much defensive attention 25 feet from the basket. He'll stand out there the entire game and watch his teammates score. However, you can't leave him out there unguarded either.

I worked with a kid that graduated from a school in New York. He said there were over 1300 in his graduating class. I can't imagine that.

@brooksville, I don't think you're going to get a great deal of support on moving the regional tournament from the Field House. This has been hashed over more than once. I know living in Campbell Co., I don't enjoy the thought of possibly making the drive to Mt. Sterling 3 times in one week. (if all goes well for the Camels) I would guess most Scott fans feel the same. I for one would vote for the Field House every time.

Thank you for allowing me to have my own belief. It's not that I don't understand, I just disagree with you. I saw several things that I thought were fouls that weren't called. I as well saw things called as fouls I didn't believe should have been called. It happens in most games, and it went for and against both Campbell and Scott during the game. However, as an official, at any particular point in the game, if you see what you perceive to be a foul and don't make the call. Then you, the official, become a determining factor.

So if you get away with a foul at some point, you should always get away with it. Got it.......

So an official not blowing the whistle when it should be blown, is not a factor...... Maybe we should have the officials leave the floor at the 15 second mark in a close game so they won't be any part of it.

This was a hard fought game by both teams, with either team deserving the win. After watching the video, some say they aren't sure there was a foul. On the other side of the coin, no one is saying, there is NO WAY there was a foul. Live action, I thought he was fouled from both sides as he split the defenders. Swallowing the whistle? So at what point does an official decide he isn't going to do his job? As mentioned in an earlier post. A foul in the last 5 seconds of a game is no different than a foul in the first 5 seconds of the game.

Congratulations to the Camels. Scott play just as hard, one of those games you almost hate to see a team lose, almost..... From where I was sitting, I thought number 20 bumped him, number 00 slapped his arm at almost the same time, then number 5 slapped him again. I thought the whistle was very justified.

Being older than dirt, I've seen some great games and the atmosphere was superb. One that stands out in my mind. Pendleton County vs Clark County at PHS back in the early 70's. Standing room only for a regular season game. Campbell County vs Brossart games rarely disappoint.
