It's how it should be, there really isn't an excuse to move it from the fieldhouse... best location and best venue in the 10th

But if Montgomery County wants to build a gym of their size let them host it. They have better parking and nicer facilites. But I still like it at the Fieldhouse better, but I didnt mind making the drive to all the games at MoCo last year.

 

I wouldn't mind having the regional tournament moved back to Harrison County either. All you would have to do is clear the gym after a game and then re enter. It's one of my favorite gyms in the region.

@brooksville, I don't think you're going to get a great deal of support on moving the regional tournament from the Field House. This has been hashed over more than once. I know living in Campbell Co., I don't enjoy the thought of possibly making the drive to Mt. Sterling 3 times in one week. (if all goes well for the Camels) I would guess most Scott fans feel the same.

It's not fair to make the NKY schools drive to MOCO in some cases 3 times a week, there is plenty of parking at the fieldhouse, some may just have to walk a little further than others.

Sorry, I was the most critical on BGP of MoC hosting last year. It is just a bad drive for most schools, fans, teams, etc. but, as I debated the issue I found myself realizing school officials have the responsibility to put their own program and kids first and foremost. That is what MoCo did and I hate the drive and location; but, I totally respect their actions. The other 7 schools probably took a financial hit (haven't seen the #'s); but, with their 1/8 share plus the host fee, I am sure they at least drew equivalent to the Fieldhouse norm. So for MoCo it was a win-win except on the court where the Panthers schooled them in fundamental basketball.
