Johnson Central ends their season with a tough loss. But JC only looses one senior and has all five starters back for the 08-09 season. Best of luck to E-Town in the rest of the state tournament.

I have been to watch the regional tournament twice (2006 and 2008) at the expo, here are my pro's and con's. Pros... - Gets teams ready for the state tournament with the floor size and bigger crowds. - Bathrooms and concession stands are everywhere. - Alot more seating than any gym in the 15th could offer. Cons... - Not enough parking! - Fans cant go on the floor to celebrate with their team.

On Wednesday, March 12th, 2008 at 7:00pm, Johnson Central will play Paintsville for 15th region championship game. This will be the 4th meeting this season between these two schools who are sperated by about one mile. I preditced an All-Johnson county regional finals. And I was correct. Does Bill Mike Runyon end his coaching career at Rupp Arena? Does first year coach Tommy McKenzie take Johnson Central to Rupp Arena? Were gonna have to wait until tomorrow to find out. My prediction.... Johnson Central - 67 Paintsville - 64

Shelby Valley was down 27-7 in the 1st half. They battled back, but Paintsville was just a little bit better tonight.

^ JC had 5, Pike Central had 4, Belfry had 1, Paintsville had 1, Betsy Layne had 2 and Pikeville had 2. I believe that is how it broke down.

FINAL SCORE!!! Johnson Central played great tonight. All five of JC's starters made the all-tournament team... Chelsea Saylers, Emily Wireman, Celena Conley and Haley Meek. And Brianna Salyers was awarded MVP. Congrats to coach Phillip Wireman on his 5th regional title!
