There is other sports at Johnson Central westsider. We have a state champion (Corey Spencer) wrestler in the 112lbs. weight class and both our basketball teams are playing for the 57th district championship. The girls play tonight, and the boys play tomorrow night, that is where most of the eagle faithful are at. I just wanted to post this, then I'm on my way.

Alright here goes... this article is from The Big Sandy News. We are ready to move forward and put the situation behind us. Coach Matney will remain as our football coach and we will comply with the KHSAA order.

Both local papers (The Paintsville Herald and the Big Sandy News) had stories on the front page today. The articles have a statement from Mr. Whitaker, JC's principal... but I have learned my lesson about posting statement and quotes on here.

I don't know how many 4-8 foot shots that SC air-balled in the first quarter. I think it was 14-0 at one point in the game.

This game wasnt even close. I stayed for a few minutes of the 1st quarter, Paintsville dominated Sheldon Clark.

I dont know who JC's first 2 games will be against. I know last year, JC played at South Point, OH to open the season then they were home against Conner.

The old underarmour would eat this up, but I have learned my lessons. But I'm not going to say nothing that hasnt already been posted, and yes 2c, the fines and penalities are from the above stated situation.

I want to say congradulations to Corey Spencer from Johnson Central on winning the 2008 state title at 112. He beat Travis Sullivan from Wayne County, who is also a 3x state champion. That has to be the biggest upset of the state tournament.
