Good to see that Torres #31 for Dixie is doing ok. Back in after getting banged up 1st half.

The Dixie band is pretty good too!

Still not out of reach. 28-14 at the half.

Dixie has to have 300+ yards rushing.

Crazy. No reason not to play your best both ways when platooning is falling so badly. Why not give it a shot. No way it could end up being worse.

Highlands. Because they will score more than Dixie.

This was a game of turnovers. Cov Cath turned it over 4 times first half and was down at that point. Highlands handed it over several times via fumbles and interceptions in the 2nd half. Teams can't give opponents multiple possessions especially in short field situations and expect things to turn out well. It will be a painful experience for them, but these kids will learn from it.

I missed seeing the Red card and had no idea that NDA was a player down nearly the entire game. The action was back and forth with neither team really gaining a sustained upper hand. Some very skilled players on both squads. Fun game to watch.

If that were the case, I wonder why have they not been ringing the phone off the hook over at SK to get this done?

Did you see the game Friday night? SK's d-line could not handle a small HHS line. Elder's O line goes 250, 265, 280, 280, 285.

I disagree. Those teams like to face competition that will push them and get them ready to play in Championship games. SK cannot do that for them.

The games that count are coming up. The boys learned a lot from Friday's game and I am sure they will be better players for it. Never fun to get beat, but learning from defeat only makes them stronger for the coming run.

SK cannot, at this point, hang with the Cincy big schools. Elder, Mo, X or Colerain would eat them alive and get nothing out of a game against them. It certainly would not prepare the Cincy schools for the competition they will face in their playoffs. I doubt those schools would even entertain an offer to play SK right now. Maybe they could get an Anderson, or Fairfield, but not a GCL top tier program.

SK saw their Frosh get whipped twice, and their vaunted JV take a beating at the hands of the Birds. Not surprised they would duck out of this series.

Nice win for the Birds! This win, combined with the two shutout wins by the Freshman over SK this season, bodes well for HHS!

This just in From the game thread...A loss is a loss, but exposing SK to the rest of the state is still pretty sweet.

Yeah, they probably did that because they wanted Highlands to put 53 on them. They were sandbagging the 6a teams they will be facing the rest of the way.
