Coach K copied off of Calipari and had the exact same results. One title with the One and Done model. Jon Scheyer follows the same model. I could go on and on about Coach K’s final years and his legacy. I don’t want that model.

I’ve seen enough to know that any success he has next year with that team will be a fluke. He hasn’t shown me that he can properly develop talent.

This is my official #FireScheyer thread. I know he isn’t the answer long term. He’s proven that. Unfortunately he is arguably the best recruiter in college basketball so his job is most likely pretty safe for awhile. I’m just starting this thread so we can track how long it takes for Duke to come to their senses. I feel like how UK fans used to be when they would say….”if he can’t win it all next year with the kids he has coming in…..” I’ve seen this movie before. It just had a different cast. There’s no way that THIS particular team shouldn’t be much better than what they are. That’s on the coach. We’ll see what happens. Never be the guy who follows the legend. Be the guy who replaces that guy. I look forward to seeing who that guy will be. I’m wide open today. Taking all applications. Brotherhood or not.
