  1. Yes. He has the same delivery on his passes and the way he runs in and back out.
  2. True. But I think McCreary will take their chances from the three. Now if he starts heating up and drilling a bunch, then they may run something like a box and one that will close up the driving abilities, but also keep someone on him at all times. Should be a good game. Polson had twenty at McCreary earlier this season.
  3. The atmosphere was amazing last night. I was cheering for Wayne last night as well. The crowd for McCreary certainly is a fun bunch.
  4. Agreed. Polson drives and that's exactly in McCreary's favor because they play zone so much. They'll need to hit their shots though and take advantage of their length in the paint.
  5. There is a site called Calpreps.com where you can project matchups. McCreary vs. West Jessamine. If at McCreary, MC wins 65-62. If at West Jessamine, WJ wins 64-63. If on a neutral court, MC wins 64-63. This should be a dandy. However, I think it goes by atleast four or five either way.
  6. Wow, this was a real shootout. Casey's bracket in the state is favorable for them to go a pretty good way. Good luck to a fellow 12th region team!
  7. Should be a great game. Too bad I can only attend one.
  8. Should be a dandy. Pulling for Hazard, but I think Perry Central wins this by 6.
  9. Roark had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Raiders, who outrebounded Lincoln 27-25. Spurlin led the Patriots with seven boards. Lincoln outshot McCreary 42 percent to 40 percent from the field. The Patriots were 10-for-27 from 3-point range; the Raiders were 7-for-21. Watts finished with 21 points, including two pressure-packed free throws with :12 remaining. "You want your player who's supposed to make plays up there," Jones said. "That's what a leader is supposed to do."
  10. Well, a little of one and three. The first half I think there was a combined 5 fouls called. The second half started with five fouls on both teams in the third quarter.
  11. Wright may be one of the best coaches in the state. Corbin has more firepower and talent across the board. The 'Hounds will need to shoot it well and get the rebounds - no second chances for the Cardinals. 75-75 entering the fifth overtime. And then it breaks open in the favor of...
  12. He may be still feeling some pain, but I think the way Lincoln played tightened him up some. He will likely feel better tomorrow - or even tonight, after this win.
  13. Yes. They stood the entire first quarter without sitting down once. They really enjoy it. They are a fun crowd. Especially the older woman that came down at halftime. She's an assistants mother and she had them play "YMCA." She did the exact same thing with the same music at McCreary's two district games as well. I was very proud of the Raider Nation.
  14. Even though it was at Lincoln, I would have to say that McCreary may have had more fans. :sssh:
  15. True. It cost McCreary a few years ago in the opening round of the district against Wayne. Yes, they stalled for a long time, perhaps two minutes, and got someone wide open under the basket for an easy layup. However, a second prior, Jones called a timeout and the basket was waved off.
  16. The Raiders of McCreary Central will battle the Colts of West Jessamine for a trip to Rupp Arena, a first ever for the Colts should they win, and twenty-six years for the Raiders. The Raiders, winners of the 48th district, come off a dominating performance over East Jessamine and a nail-biter over a tough, tough Lincoln County squad. The Colts, winners of the 46th district, come off a nine point win over Danville and a tough 13-point win over Wayne County. The two met in Raider land in one of the first games of the season with McCreary coming out on top by a bucket. Both teams have improved, and McCreary is playing very inspired ball including winning 8 of their last 9. Both have outstanding players in Watts (MC) and Polson (WJ). Who wins the battle? I think McCreary's zone will cause problems for Polson, who likes to drive the lane. He reminds me a lot of Calathes from Florida. McCreary should win the battle in the paint. I like McCreary across the board in this one. Raiders win 68-64.
  17. With McCreary up 41-38, Jones went to a stall offense with nearly six minutes left. This is the same play they run two years ago against Wayne that backfired. And then, wouldn't you know it, McCreary turns it over and Lincoln his a three to tie it at 41 with under two minutes left. This McCreary team seems to have the heart and desire to win these games. Destiny, maybe? McCreary sure travels well. A very, very fun crowd.
  18. Polson reminds me a lot of Calathes from Florida.
  19. Care to disclose in PM? Curious as to what the reasoning is. I think McCreary wins anyway even with Lincoln County's home court and the 14th region refs.
  20. Great! The Raiders need him. If he is playing with good strength, then McCreary should have the edge. His outside shooting is great.
  21. Someone else said he was out. Just curious. He has really been very consistent from the perimeter this postseason.
