I was just wondering, how many paid assistants does Morgan have? I only have two paid assistants at Betsy Layne.

Betsy Layne does play Prestonsburg in week one at Prestonsburg.

Shelby Valley - Rodney Rowe

Scott Bailey will also be an assistant again this year. We have scheduled 6 JV games. We only played one last year and that was the first in a while at Betsy Layne.

I should have two paid positions and 4 or 5 volunteer. Dwight and Red will be back and the others, I can't really comment on right now due to their current positions.

B.L should have a pretty productive year in 2007. I feel that there will be more assistants walking the sidelines with football knowledge. The administration is showing GREAT support and I feel that we make the playoffs this year. We have approximately 15 in the weightroom daily with about 7 playing basketball.

I really don'tthink that overall record should really matter that much. Youy must look at what they have completed with the program to which they are currently running. This will show more merit than their past. For example, if a coach takes a team over and goes 1-9, 4-7, 6-4 and 9-1 in four years his overall record is 20-22. His overall record is still below .500, but look what he has done for the program. Just my opinion though.

I appreciate it BH. Remember you told me that I would be crazy and I said, "Yes just crazy enough to go down there and build a championship team" Here we go, look for us in the years to come. We have a new culture at Betsy Layne with PRIDE being instilled in the players, administration, faculty, and the community. Come on down and have a hotdog on me Thursday for our second tail gate party. It's free and the community and students are welcome. It starts at 6:30. Hope to see you there!

Hats off to my Cats and the Rebs. A very hard fought game in the trenches that will make both of our teams better. It was a hard fought game and both groups left everything on the field.

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words. The enthusiasm on the hill is GREAT. I really feel that the community is joining in with the administration and staff in backing these young men. Remember, "Rome wasn't built in a day". But I do have nine more weeks in this season to build it.

The young men are working extremely hard and gaining confidence daily. The community is beginning to show a greater support daily. We will be competitive and win some ballgames. These young men are winners!!!!!
