  1. Boone by 20.....70-50. Bray has another big night!:thumb:
  2. Thought Boone would win this one but not by this score. Looks like Bray had a huge game for Boone.
  3. Sharp 20, Quigley 14, Miller 7, Smith 7 & Hiller 7 for Scott in this mornings box score.
  4. Conner is 2-0 and playing with some confidence and this is not the PC of the pat couple of years. Conner by 8....68-60
  5. Hill, Rice, Henderson just too athletic and explosive for SK. Holmes by 10......65-55
  6. CovCath not at full strength and this St Henry has some good guard play that should keep the game close. Covcath by 5......61-56
  7. Scott wins big but final margin will be determined by how much first unit plays or if bench gets much PT. Difficult situation for a coach against an undermanned Calvary team. Scott needs to be a little better in half court offense and this would be a good night to work on those sets.
  8. :thumb: Will take Boone by 10 with Bray having a big game. Boone is young but very athletic. Have they moved up any of their frosh to jv/varsity status yet?
  9. Hicks is one of the top coaches in the area. Gets the most year in and year out of the talent he has!
  10. Seating won't be an issue...hopefully will be a good crowd to follow up Friday nights packed house versus Simon Kenton. Hopefully Scott will be able to bounce back from an extremely emotional and physical game against their rivals.
  11. KHSAA does not move quickly on these matters. Probably at least a month before eligibility is ruled upon and I don't think he is allowed to practice with the team in that time.
  12. Nathan Sharp had the basket to put Scott up by 1 in the final seconds but the great play was the steal and the assist by Ryne Smith to Sharp for the bucket. Smith seemed to be everwhere on the floor tonight, great hustle plays, made some big shots
  13. The only question mark about Holmes is can they maintain that team chemistry thru a whole season. I don't think anyone would deny they have more talent than anyone in the region, but everyone is just waiting for that on court/off court distraction that causes them to implode. I think they have the talent to make a run deep into the State Tourney but....can they hold things together for an entire season?
  14. Enquirer said that Hester had 27 points. Didn't sound like Faust was too happy with his teams play in the second half.
  15. Little closer on the final score than I expected, but first games are always tough. Speed of the game amps up and officials have to adjust to that as well. Pelle will be fun to watch and Silver Grove will play a lot of teams tough this year.
  16. Holmes is pretty darn good and PC is going to struggle this year. Belcher is going to get his most nights but they didn't have a lot at the JV level last year. Those kids might have gotten better since last year but they had a long way to go to reach where PC has been the past couple of years.
  17. Nice win for Scott to open season. Box score shows balanced scoring in addition to Quigley getting 25. Appears that they got some nice contributions from other seniors, Norman & Smith on the scoring end. Things get a little tougher this week with big rivalry game on Friday night with Simon Kenton and then Mason Co coming to Scott on Saturday.
  18. Tend to agree...SK size with Hurd will hurt SH. Lenhoff is a good player but don't think he will get 29 tonight. SK has a good rotation of guards who can keep Lenhoff under control even if Hester is hobbling. Lenhoff is going to get his points but putting up 29 would be a HUGE night.
