  1. The thing that impresses me about Scott is that they have their limitations but continue to play extremely hard. They don't go deep on their bench, they are playing seniors who had relatively little varsity experience before this season yet they continue to be in most every game. I think everyone expected Sharp and Quigley to be good but who really believed that Miller and Smith would play at this level? Miller was basically a role player last year and I don't think Smith played any significant varsity minutes last year. Great job by Coach Carr to get the most out of his players.
  2. Scott needs to score in transition. They don't want to have to run their half court sets against Brossart consistently. Scott's top three scorers in Quigley, Sharp & Smith are going to have to put up some points against a very tough Brossart man to man defense. Game stays close for three quarters and Brossart pulls away with a 10 point win.
  3. Like Holy Cross by 10 in this one regardless of Holmes situation.
  4. Box score shows a pretty balanced attack for Scott. If they can get offensive contributions from Miller, Felts & Smith then that opens things up for Quigley and Sharp. Quigley and Sharp are definitely the go to guys on the team but Miller, Felts & Smith play extremely hard every night. I don;t think other teams are prepared for the intensity level Scott brings on every possession.
  5. Worst that 9th has been in a long time if ever. Not so much a knock on top teams but I think that even they will have a tough time cmpeting with top teams in the state. If you put Dixie in the 6 spot because they are playing better the drop off after that is very very steep!
  6. CovCath by 15....Highlands just can't score and CovCath is better defensively than Dixie.
  7. I remember hearing about all of this great chemistry with Holmes this year and even without Duran they were still more talented than most in the 9th. A few more losses and I wonder how much longer that great chemistry will continue!
  8. Like Brossart by 10 in this one. Brossart is on a roll and is just too strong defensively.
  9. SK too much to handle at home even without Hester. SK by 6...:ylsuper:
  10. Sophs on the bench just aren't ready for extensive varsity action yet. Hiller has played well in stretches but he is probably only underclassman who is going to see significant minutes. Carr appears to be pretty equal opportunity when it comes to chewing the players out so it would be hard to say he is playing favorites. I think he is a pretty competitive guy:lol: and is going to play the players who he feels give him the best chance to win.
  11. Would have to flip Scott & CampCo and might move Silver Grove ahead of Harrison.:walk:
  12. Could not have said it any better...one good official and two bad ones does not make for a good crew. Seems like the officials were anticipating calls instead of making calls on what actually occurred.
  13. Pelle & Wiseman are going to get their points because they are SG only options. Scott is going to want to run and that will allow more opportunities for Pelle & Wiseman. Still think Scott wins by 20
  14. After the article in todays Cincinnati Enquirer about the audits of Holmes it might be difficult to make a case for Holmes to defend itself against any allegations regarding the academic & social enviroment.
  15. Closer than I anticipated with Holmes only scoring 59. Any Details  ???
  16. Home court pays off...Brossart in a tight one...60-57
  17. Pelle scores 30...Wiseman scores 20 and Scott wins by 20!
  18. Highlands by 15....Should be fun to watch Kiernan bang around inside with HHS big guys. Don't think NewCath has anyone that can match up with Simpson and that will be the difference in the game.
  19. Does Dixie play next week prior to Friday night? Dixie wants to run the floor as well. Mace will go to the blocks and force Miller to play in the paint, Miller will take him out to the perimeter. I don't think Dixie has an answer for Sharp. Scott by 5....75-70
  20. That's kind of an odd combination...cross country runner/basketball player especially at the big school level. Only game I have seen this year was SK game and he looked like a pretty good player that game. Played really hard on defensive end and made good decisions with the ball. From what I hear about the Harrison Co game he had the same kind of game as far as hustle plays and defense just didn't make some open threes. Seems to be good role player for Coach Carrs system. If Smith and Felts can be solid varsity players Scott looks like a top 5 team in the Tenth.
