And Trinity gave up a TD to Cincy X on the last play of the game, and Lou. X gave up a TD to T in the last minute of the game. Take away those two scores late in both games, and you have T losing to Cincy X by 10 and Lou. X by 15. I don't believe in comparing scores versus common opponents, but one may make the argument that our best is just as good as OH's best based on those two games and scores.

Looks like RP is right, they've dropped us to being tied for 4th now, if you look at the score.

Calpreps, which reports the rankings of Maxpreps, has St. X tied for #3 in the country. Is this now the highest that any KY team has been ranked? Congrats to the Tigers, but don't settle for anything less than a victory in your last game this season!

I hate to see scores this lopsided, but it sounds like the Cubs got in early and still performed well. Butler is obviously undermanned this year, but one positive is that the younger guys are getting a lot of experience. Hopefully it'll payoff for them down the road in a couple of years.

At that point, less than 1/4 into the game, you were ahead by 10 points. Rain comes, and it's called and you won as a result of being ahead at the time there was rain. You also happened to be up 11 points in the third quarter just a few weeks ago, and ended up losing that game by 16. I've seen a lot of things happen in football and I refuse to say that a team that is winning before the first quarter is even over is the team that would win the game. If the roles had been reveresed, I would say the same thing. I don't think you count the game as a tie, but rather, a no contest, just like the two schools agreed to call it.

Actually, they're tied with Mater Dei at #5 in that ranking, with 60.2 points. Also, South Panola is ranked 31. Part of the reason they're not ranked higher, is they've only played one team in the Top 1,000 (according to this ranking) and just two top 3,000 teams. X for example has played 4 top 1,000 teams and only Oldham County wasn't ranked in the top 3,000. The ranking might drop, even if the Tigers continue to win as the schedule eases up a bit.

RM, you're right, Chase had a great game. He's a great lax player and has a nice family as well. A couple of his older brothers played as well. Tough kids.

Just wanted to hear what the Rock faithful thought of Beatty going for 2 after being backed up. Did he just get caught up in the moment and not think of the implications of missing it? Especially when he has one of the best (senior) kickers in the state. The PAT would have been a chip shot, and then the Rocks feel good going into the onside, knowing if they recover and score, they have a shot to tie. After failing to convert the 2 point conversion, it was as if the game was already over, since it was a two possession game with less than a minute to play. In my opinion, it was a poor call, but then again, I don't get paid to coach, so I wanted to hear what the T fans thought about that call.

Too bad it's not a public vote so we could see who picked which teams. Can't imagine who honestly thinks Butler wins this game. Not saying it can't happen, but it's not likely.

Why don't you count the points X left on the field inside T's 25 and the penalty that let you have your first 3. Like I said, it wasn't that close. It should have been 21-3 at one point, but that's the way the breaks went. I'm looking forward to a rematch with our starting QB healthy for the whole game.

RP, the great thing is that we still have an opportunity to go undefeated this year and you don't have a chance. Additionally, the "streak against KY teams" that you've been keeping track of is now over. 24-15 fellas and it wasn't that close.

You're right, it wasn't X's line blowing holes open in T's D. It wasn't X's D getting after Stein and forcing bad passes and getting big stops. It wasn't X having fantastic punt returns. It wasn't the unheralded kicker stepping up and making the plays both on PATs/FGs/KOs. It wasn't the backup QB keeping his poise and not making mistakes. If anything, X could/should have made this game at least 14 points worse than it was, and that's without the starting QB/second leading rusher in the game for 5/8 of the ball game. Keep your focus Tigers and take the next 9!
