My understanding is that EJ is hosting the middle school district games this Thursday night. With the rain coming in I am sure that the field will be in tip top shape (not)

Correction: East Jessamine lost to Lexington Catholic and Woodford and dominated Pikeville until the East JV team went in.

Score was 13-0 at the half. Was a game of which defense wore out first. Franklin pitched a shut out first half, East the 2nd.

Does Coach Ratliff and team seem to be improving this year. I got to watch them in the Pike Co Bowl and they played hard.

Just curious as i sure don't want to start a public versus private debate.. I went to school up north where in a Catholic High School all students are required to try out and or be part of a school athletic team. Of course for the most the Catholic High Schools were same sex schools as well. is this the case here in Kentucky?:creepy:

Friday night is Homecoming for EJ. That in itself should help with the "mind set" before the game. I think it will be a good game. Looking forward to watching Ammons play. Saw him at UK this summer at camp. His ability on the field and his attitude off makes for a class act.

You think? From what I have seen of EJ they start slow and come out in the 2nd half a better team. Giving credit where credit is due, Catholic was a better team last week. 109 kids versus 39 is a definate "psyche out" advantage when they hit the field. (Still can't figure out how they are in the same district) They were very impressive.. the coaching staff as well as the team deserved the win there is no doubt. EJ is a growing team and within the next couple of years under Coach Bowlin they should start growing more and more impressive. Will they be the caliber team of catholic...that is yet to be seen.

I hope you are correct. Those kids have had a poor start to begin with this year. They need something positive to happen for them.

One heck of a game. Perfect night for football. Mistakes on both sides of the ball. Kept you wondering until that last minute or so which way the game would go. My hat off to both teams.
