  1. Paris will hire a new coach soon! (sure about that) New coach will get the Hounds ready for the new season. Rough start considering Montgomery and Mason are open games- (bad planning on someones behalf). Paris will click by district play and give a run for the money against a young LCA and new not-known Raceland. Bold statement- Paris will be overlooked in the preseason due to loosing 14 seniors- Headsup- they have 8 (seniors to be) starters returning- don't underestimate them. However- BOLD STATEMENT- Travis Angel wil be awesome on defense, over 100 tackles easily- We got to get a glimpse of his speed at the Raceland & Nicholas Co. game (explosive) BOLD STATEMENT- Tavione Fields and Tiion Thomas rack up many yards- don't be surprised to see Terrell Harris with some numbers too. BOLD STATEMENT- William Washington will be the new QB (placed in the LCA JV powerlift this spring)
  2. Well Raceland and Beechwood are both claiming this title;)
  3. Paris definetely needs to get a new coach- and soon! They will not have the "beef" they are used to on the line this year- However if they continue to train; strength and speed will be the key for their new line. They will return several returning starters on the line- I look for Travis Angel and Tavionne Fields to step up and be the leaders for the 2007 team. i also look for Terrell Harris and Tiion Thomas rack up some all purpose yards... people arent expecting to much, but dont be surprised if they turn some heads if every thing works out for the hireing of a new coach.
  4. I also was told this week that two of Paris' football players placed in the JV lifting competition. William Washington (frosh) & Cameron Klimper. (if I am correct Cameron is in the 8th grade)...
  5. I have noticed that Paris has some die-hard volunteers though... And that is a good thing- A coach there will get support from their Athletic Boosters, Parents, and their "field painters"... I saw one of the players parents at wal-mart one day with a hole cart full of gator-aid. This is really nice when you have moms and dads doing stuff like that for the team! I hope they can hire a good coach "soon"- this isn't fair to the up and coming seniors, I'd say they are working just as hard if not harder then this last group of seniors... From what I have seen they still will have a lot of their blazing speed- Not a beefy line like what we are used to... But that can be worked properly with a good coach. - Best of luck to Brian Washington and his future, he is a very nice person.
  6. Athletic Boosters and several parents support very well. Like anything else enthusiasm gets everyone on board... I know of several people that would make great assistants-
  7. Brian "Boo" Washington has resigned after two decent seasons for the fact that he had some personel things to deal with and he was going back to school to get his masters. he will be missed
  8. I talked to some friends that went today. I was told Paris' Travis Angel placed second in his weight class.
  9. what in the world is this guy talking about?
  10. Sounds like a consolidation could be in the future... It's hard for small Class A schools- especially when everything is centered around $$$- kids prep all year around for CATS testing, so the school can get the $. small schools = other programs will suffer. I hope the administration will take care of your football program and not let it go to hades....
  11. I can't wait for the Frankfort crew to start ballin out of control on here again.
  12. The best Senior athlete on Paris High School that I feel that was SERIOUSLY overlooked, was Sammy Crump. Sammy ended up starting QB in the "last game" of the year against Raceland, and he broke several school records in one game.
  13. I was tempted to say that.... I just tried to keep it simple.... But due to the Chukester interest was lost with the program and credibility was lost. He and his staff literally took BCHS' program, below ground zero. But I would say there are some that was happy with the outcome. Just hope their administration will support the new coach and how the team needs to come alive again... BCHS has always struggled, due to facts, football is not the top priority in sports at BCHS- WHen Hilton came to town he took it to a new level, but when his SALARY was revealed- faclty., staff, parents, spouses of staff, came undone.... SO the down fall of the BCHS program has a lot of hands in it- The Chukester can take a lot of the credit and go down in History for the majority of it, but there are some others too that should be menitoned in the foot-notes....
  14. I guess due to the "Post Hilton Seasons"... I have read that the coach after Hilton, ran a lot of kids off, he only wanted the "elite" players, and at that time they had some really good and big kids- but at the end of his final season I think he only had "17" kids left dressed on the team- This coach left after a lot of scandal, supposively he was hired "illegally"??? A board member and the Supetd. hired him, without the HS Principal and AD... Another guy took over that is supposively a really good person, but not a "coach"- So the weightlifting went down the tubes and the interest. They were/are small in size (a few nice size kids) but not your typical 4A line, more like a JV/freshmen looking line... They were worn out by halftime. Now another coach that played at UK and Denver Broncos and Some foreign leauge... So he must have their interest, if he is really turning those #s out... I would guess to say he will have them in much better shape by the next season. Goodluck to them!
  15. I talked to Chase, and he has not verbally commited to Michigan State. One of the local news stations in LEX, reported it, don't know where they got that from?
  16. I have been told that they have about 90 kids showing up in shifts for weightlifting. I think the winter program has been absent for the past three years, but looks like it is on the right track, or trends to be going to the right track. So the interest is there regardless of being 0-34 (or whatever it is). Their program is behind like 3-4 years... I think they will eventually catch-up.
  17. I know you are talking about Ram schedule here, but... I saw Paris' schedule the other day and couldn't believe some of the games that got scheduled! Mason County, Montgomery County:eek: (those two early in the schedule) I think Bellvue, then district play, the last game of the year is Bourbon Co..
  18. Oldram, I was suprised that Scott Grizzle wasn't named. Wasn't he the Over-all All District Player? Also I thought he was one of the top QBs in the state listed... You all better get your press working for you up there... Your press with connections to the AP really helps. I will prb get blasted for that statement, but in many cases that is how some kids names get pushed through. I know this for a fact-
  19. I totally agree with what you are saying- But some people get upset because others get over looked and to some people that becomes a joke to them. That is how is see their comments. Now in some earlier posts we had people actually "calling out" different ones. So lets get on them too.... One kid was actually labeled as the most over-rated player in the state of KY, and was called out by name....
  20. I have seen him play a few times, and I thought he looked good. No he is not very tall... But I have seen he is solid, runs hard and is hard to tackle.
  21. I think bottom line is here ... is that those who deserved it, congratulations, especially to those who play tough schedules... I think what bothers people the most after reading many of these posts is; there are many good quality athletes that play their ***** off, dedicate and work hard, and get over looked. That is the bite. Nothing personal... It is just hard sometimes to express what you mean when you are writing- you can take it however you want, but you don't know how they are really expressing when it is just WORDS you are reading.
  22. I practically made the same statement earlier in this post.
  23. Politics! I am telling ya - it has a lot to do with who is pushing your name! You have to have connections with the media- and a coach that will push your name through- which will leave some othera over looked when this happens.... I can't believe Josh Smith from Frankfort didn't make 1st team either. But congratulations to those who earned it!
