I ain't got no problem with what you think- the new day the old days- I ain't got no problem of what did the 15 senior do? Cause that is what I am saying, Paris lost 15 seniors and now all of a sudden people thinks there isn't even going to be a team- I didn't come on here and say they was going to be state- I said that people are underestimating- and they should hopefully be competive ... And yes they did get outclassed each year in the first rounds of playoffs. (the start of this thread was to be construtive and there is no such thing as constructive critisim- critisim and constructive are two different words with two totally opposite meanings) So best thing I can think of for all the negative people on this thread can't seem to be positive about Paris is to- dig out your old VHS tapes and relive your glory days... Your alls negative talk is going to hurt those who do have positive attitudes and maybe anyone intrested in breathing air into the program.

The upcoming seniors for Paris this season (I was just told are): Travis Angel Tavione Fields Jeremy Shupe Des Henson Zak Stevens Zak Klemper Terell Harris Lawrence Myers Angel/Fields/Shupe/Stevens/ Klemper all were starters last year Harris & Myers saw lots of playing time their soph. year- sat out their Jr year. Does anyone realize that there were more juniors that were All-district this past season then there were seniors? Does anyone besides an old foagie see this kind of stuff? I can't recall all the kids names that are the upcoming juniors-upcoming fresh. But I can come up with 20 faces that I know that are playing. I know of two names that return to the line Henson and Janon Jones (two guys that are not small- not as tall as C.Dumphord-but very strong) I would think that the Maggard kid will join the line this year ...

They will have a team... they should have over 20 kids. As long as they can field a team they will have a season. I don't see them consolidating unless Paris goes into the red, at one time everyone thought that was going to happen to BCHS, but it didn't. There are too many people that don't want to see that happen, including myself. Everyone has their senior 2007 blinders on right now... Difference right now between Paris' "about 20" and BCHS 75 players is- Paris has a team that knows how to hit. Only thing that could be worse is that they get plagued with injuries... Can anyone RECALL how many Doug Preston had playing at the final of that season? It got thin-but it wasn't a goose egg season. It is way too early to count them out-

I heard they went good- If they narrowed to 4 it is real close to a "hiring"! Hurry up- so they can have a spring practice! I guess they are still in a time frame for spring practice?

Same thing I heard... I was told there are some really good applicants they interviewed!

Does anybody have the results of this track meet?

Is Willoughby still the Head Coach there?

Have not heard how they may have went- but I was told interviewing was to start Wed (yesterday) thru today.

I think once they go ahead and hire a coach- things will start to look better

That is the same thing I heard- not a Middle School coach... I was told they are going to start interviewing today and tomorrow. I was told they have a "boat load" of applicants. Keep your fingers crossed that they hire a good coach!

Truly that is sad... they had a decent season I can recall in the late 90s? I heard that the cheerleaders stop cheering and sit down mid-game....

PHS needs fresh blood- meaning they need someone new- They are going to need someone they can relate to and someone that will motivate them - train them- get them hungry... I don't think Bruce Jones would be a good fit for Paris- he would probably be okay as an assistant or something?

Yeah I think they (most parents and community) do.... they care... they will get a coach, there are too many people out there that need jobs. I think they have a better site base now. I think things with the new site-base will start to make a difference. They just have some issues they are trying to flush out right now. They will get it taken care of.

I think that should be worded to, the Administration is a Joke at Paris, which makes all athletic programs look bad. Yes the football players marching at half-time blew my mind. You think for one minute a coach like Randy Reese or Homer Goins would've let that happened? It is time for some spine to return to that school. Time for some major changes! And I would like to add an observation, the band dispappears after their half-time show. WHat is up with that? Don't wanna bash the band- maybe it is the director and spouse that needs to be looked at here! So my next question would be- how does a person become the principal when their spouse is the HS band director? I guess they have been there for so long and have gotten away with whatever they want, so now when questioned they want to scream "harrasment"... ? And please don't tell me the band director is under Middle School principal !!!!!!!! If that is the case it is time for some heat to come down on the Supert.. Okay Site Base time to hire a coach-like soon- and one that is certified so all the kids can learn in English class. And BTW- make sure you don't hire a fluke.

That is correct... And they need those concession stands to be able to fund band trips... i.e. Rome, Italy...

they to need to get moving is RIGHT- they can argue with the principal later- Just hire a DANG coach- This is not fair to those that are working hard. I have not heard any new news on it- it is spring break there... Yeah BCHS waited till summer to hire a coach! They are still lifting- just no spring practice yet... I heard that some of the applicants said- "hire me now- and I will have spring practice" (close quote) So like I said I don't know what they are waiting on?

so when does Coach Barr plan on retiring???? that is new news (if so) maybe he will be the next principal?

IMO- there is no one over there that knows enough about coaching (or have enough experience) to be able to beat teams like LCA, FHS or Raceland- LET ALONE NCC, Danville or Beechwood. Standing around yelling with headsets on is different from actually out coaching another team.

I totally agree- Keep Fighting! I've heard several rumors of "potential" coaches- all are from other schools- They need to hire outside the school...

I was told that site-base is interviewing this week... Heard they had some impressive applicants. Hopefully they will hire soon- All coaches want to have spring practice. I was told that they have had several certified teachers leave- so they are definete looking for a coach that is a certified teacher. Anyone "in house" looking for the job I would think is SOL.

Post #3 on a roll- And one more thing and this ain't Bold this is Fact- Maybe moral got down because the offense was to dang perdictable! Sorry but when you run the same Word Filter ViolationWord Filter ViolationWord Filter ViolationWord Filter Violation plays for the whole game a good coach knows how to make adjustments at HALF TIME to stop that offense. Paris was the easiest team to beat because everyone in Class A knew what they were running before they even took the field ! Keep your heads up guys it was not all your fault like some might want you to think. Plenty of blame and poor excuses to go around for a lot of people...

I only saw a few that backed off during those games-stopping at a tackle when running the ball- and some that literraly got blown off the line of scrimmage... and some that tried to arm tackle... can't be scared when playing football- you will only get hurt... Speaking of the 80's bunch..... - you should've heard what the 80's bunch verbally thought about the coaches- - I heard one of them say that the half-time was a joke- if that is true sounds like some of the coaches were backing down when facing adversity as well.... - I have nothing invested in the school or the team, just that it has had good tradition, and I know some of the kids and i know some of them work hard as well as some of the ones that will graduate this year, and I know some of their parents- I just wish them luck- and hope they can hire a good new coach that can bring something to them and knows a little something-

I think just about all adm. are tight right now. Class A schools especially unless you reside in Ft. Mitchell...
