  1. Have you seen Wilhite, Thomas or Fields?
  2. gchs uk9, we are definitely on the same page this week. we only differ in a inch and 15 lbs.
  3. Sorry I meant to include Hip-Hop Box's quote on that posting
  4. Can you imagine????? that would almost be like "c" for Lex. Schools!
  5. You got it- Still think it is going to be a good game- I don't see Frankfort running over Paris this year. I would rather see a hard fought battle then one that is lop-sided. Makes the game more interesting, and keeps us die-hards on the edge of our seats or cussing over the side of the fence...
  6. I guessed him at 6'4, someone else guessed him at 6'3. Sounds like he is somewhere in the middle of that. Give or take a few and you still have #2, a big impressive RB, that a whole bunch of people saw last Friday night at GCHS.
  7. Then I guess we will see what stands true, of who was handling who, come Friday night at Blanton Collier Stadium in PKY...
  8. Wilhite looks good- yes I agree... Big boy, and I think he will improve by great strides, he wants this really bad and you can tell by the attitude of the whole team, THEY ARE HUNGRY FOR WINs let along a title of some kind, its been awhile since a district title and they want it... Bourbon Co. is next week... From what I understand most of the guys from Paris and BCHS are friends, and at this point it isn't even a rival anymore. Paris owns the leading spot on the most wins in this matchup. But when not playing Paris, I am for BCHS, regardless of their underdeveloped status.
  9. Yes he is big, but not ever big guy gets lots of D1 offers everday... Does Smith play for Frankfort?
  10. Sounds like a good game... Boyle is looking for the win. But I like Danville in this one by 2 scores.
  11. gchs uk9- I think we debated some last week. But today we see eye to eye.(my bad on the r, that is what happens when you type too fast- but nuff of the excuses) Goodluck to your Lions!!!
  12. I don't think your sources are holding out true- sounds a little exagerated to me. If that were true why does he have so many D1 offers from the likes of UK, UL, Auburn? He went to their camps and they are all still CHASE-ing him.
  13. Personally I don't know and truthfully no one knows what a person is thinking. Only he would know that. It was a stomping- They took it for several quarters- they were out played- Some people call it all of that (unsportman, etc...)- I call it; the score runs up as the clock runs down. >I will retract my statement to that... My earlier statement was not meant stating the fact of him being unsportmanslike- And for the record Foley is a nice guy...
  14. If you read the post:I stated- no one was complaining and that sometimes the game must go on regardless... I agree... I also know Coach Foley personally- no one is disrespecting him- no one accused him- don't get so defensive
  15. I was alive and well in the early 80's and saw them play in the State Championship games and when they went 38-0. Great Years- Great Memories. Paris in the 80's was a Powerhouse in Class A. Paris beating "average" teams when they are being considered below average, wouldn't you say that is an improvement? They are coming off as the underdogs- and ain't nothing wrong with that...
  16. Knott Central (scrimmage) W Pendelton Co W Garrad Co. W (of which none are single A- nor where they push-over teams) I do agree with your earlier statement- Paris still does have a way to go. Frankfort will be a real test for them. I just am not agreeing with others on a blow-out like last year. I think Paris is a much improved team, and I like I stated earlier I don't think Frankfort will blow them them out this year. Can't take nothing away from Frankfort- they still have their speed and still have some good skilled players. Frankfort also has a good coach. However he did run the score up- but not complaining, because the game must go on regardless... And it is too early to tell how and what a team is going to do- BUT They are coming off with impressive wins- Varsity Players- JV helps- and the Freshmen Paris is a small class A school - most starters play both sides (but most schools do the same regardless of #s)- Paris' freshmen are scoring in the 4th qrtr. not the varsity. Previous poster didn't know what he was talking about.
  17. Wilhite has ran for over 200 yds each game. Two other rb each have had over 100 yds per game, only like 2-3 carries. Paris' JV has played the 4th qtr. for the last two games. Half Time scores have been 20+ points.
  18. From what I have seen they have a much improved team- stronger- faster. Sadly, Sr. starting RB Marcus Hall evidentelly is out- he had surgery on his foot. Jr. RB D.L. Wilhite (6'4 225) is the starting RB. A new soph. Tion Thomas that has light"n" speed. Thomas and Wilhite together are racking up much yards. They returned their healthy QB, that was injured early last year, J.R. Trumbo. They do return a Big Line that is in the "much improved" category. I see a very aggressive very strong defense. Middle Linebacker Travis Angel is a Jr., he looks and works like a horse. Talking about getting some attention?!? I think their Large Sr. class- returning 15 starters- this combination, I see determination. They also have a "media-blitz" with many D1 colleges recruiting lineman Chase Dumphord (6'6 310). There is a lot of excitement there right now. Overall I see Paris having an "aresenal" of athletes that can run the ball. They have a very aggresive and strong defense. It is early in the season but we all see what happens. Just good to see Paris winning again- hope they keep it up! They have a good tradition there, hope it gets ressurected.
  19. I was told the same thing from a Rowan Co. fan that was in attendance. He also said Raceland loooked really good.
  20. I would like to know the same thing.
  21. Glad to see Bath win.
  22. I agree- excellent post. Rockcastle is a good program. Bourbon has a long way to go... regardless who they play
  23. I saw this prediction last week with Garrad beating Paris. Paris beat GC 46-7. I don't think Frankfort is going to come to Paris and walk over top of them. I am going to say Paris is going to earn this one.
