How does it poke holes? Since when is a victory not a victory? It really doesn't matter how you win it. You keep wanting to recieve credit for the closeness of the scores, but come on, lets be real. Trinity still wins! Lex schools have won those games before and at one point in time, Fern Creek was the best 4A school in Lou. and guess who beat them? That's right, Lexington Dunbar.

Also, in '03, PLD played Trinity almost down to the wire at Trinity in the state semi's.

The weight room and on the field are related, but two totally different things. You, as a program, can lift all you want and run and run. The problem comes with coaches saying that the new players are too young to do this and that, but still start or play significant minutes. These same young kids are going to become primetime players, unless their are 11 new transfers to replace them. Then there's the stubborn coaching that says we've done this here and it worked, so it should work here and not really change a thing. Now with Dunbar, Hensley has his first class of freshman juniors now. The senior class last year was, well we'll just say not all that good. It will be an interesting year over there. Looking forward to seeing progress from last year.

The talent is here, and on the field. Some of the coaches here, in my opinion, have ego issues causing some kids not to want to play football at their respective high schools. Some here would rather have friends on staff or former big-name UK players than people who actually are football oriented and know what they are talking about Politics in programs also factor into the mix. Anyone can take from that what they want too, but numbers and titles don't lie. Preparation is the key in all games. That includes the summer before freshmen get to high school. Teams really don't develop any depth here. That's the Trinity separation.

FYI. Even for scrimmages, coaches watch film, especially on someone like Trinity. Even in a scrimmage, would you want your team to show up totally unpreparred, get blasted, and lose all team morale before the season even starts?

Why's that? Do the players change? If what you say is true, then how can anyone say that X and Male are better than Lexington schools when 1: they've never really play them in a real game, and 2: both lose almost on a yearly basis to Trinity?

Which is more important, the score or the outcome? You can say what you want to about which game was closer and where the teams were from, but you can't deny Trinity's dominance over the state in 4A. Count titles instead of point totals and you might come up with the same thing.

Well see the past two times PLD has played a Lou. school besides trinity, they too were in rebuilding years. '04 and '06, Manual and PRP.

Yeah, but they've won and never beaten Trinity, even in Burke's senior year. Probably the best LexCath team ever. X is above Male, but clearly not trinity. Their is a little more concern over X, but Trinity is a fear here.

My guess is some pretty unfair outcomes over the past few years. I can name a few.

When will a louisville school, besides T and X, step up and play a national power? Since we are talking about Louisville high school football as a whole, and as a whole claim to be the "best in KY for football".

Clay could be a go-to guy in the passing game and used as an all-around athlete in their offense if they find a QB that is consistent.

No, he's definately a GAMEBREAKER. Greene has beefed up quite a bit also.

Hopefully they will be, but there is still another problem. They still need to develop a passing game. Some sort of one so that teams won't stack the box against their two stud backs.

Well lets count the state titles of the three teams for the past seven years. X-1, Male-1 maybe 2, Trinity-5. Looks like head and shoulders to me. The last four years, T has won 3 out of 4, X has won 1, and Male none.

Given the style of play from one team, and the lack of depth from the other team, I can't agree with this statement. Lex. teams look at Trinity in a much greater status than they would X or Male, even in their best years. LexCath has beaten both, but hasn't come close to the Rocks in a scrimmage.

I think as far as kickoffs goes, the kicker Trinity had in '02 was the best ever. At PLD, he kicked the ball past the track.

The D at "the D" was just fine last year. If it's the same this year, and they fine tune the offense a bit, watch out. They've added some new additions around the place that should help the cause tremendously.
