Don't forget about DeSales. Won the 6th region in 1979.

Good point! The pull up jump shot is not utilized enough in today's game! But to Clemon's defense, this "judgement" call was not even close in my eyes! Should have been a block.

That call is one reason that coaching basketball can be so frustrating! Clemons from PRP does just what you teach- take the ball to the basket, but pull up if there is someone there to take the charge. There was no one in position to take the charge, clearly should have been a block, and now PRP is going home when they probably would have won the game if the correct call was made.

It is hard to single out Trinity just because they are a private school! There are many public schools that are right there with them! Would be very hypocritical!

Was a great game. Several shifts in momentum in the 4th quarter. As soon as you thought one team had the edge, the other team would do something to sway the momentum. Fun to watch.

Getting ready for tip-off!

The 6th and 7th region use this: 3 players for 1st place team, 2 players for 2nd place team, and 1 player for other 6 teams. Coaches choose their own players.

Looks like a state champion team!

They will have to play their best basketball just to stay within 15 points. But you never know- strange things happen in the postseason!

7 PRP 5 St. X 3 Butler 2 Central Hardin 1 Larue Co. tiebreaker: PRP

What a great high school basketball game! Great atmosphere (homecoming for Southern), district opponents, and important district seeding on the line. No doubt it would come down to the buzzer! Alan Almanza scores to put Southern up one with 8 seconds left, but Caleb Craddock (underated point guard from Bullitt Central) goes coast to coast and misses a contested lay up at the buzzer! Could have been a block or a charge- but no call was made. If Craddock played for PRP, Moore, or even Bullitt East, everyone would know him, and be talking about him! The kid can play! No Bopper Stenzel, but is definitely in the top 3 PG I have seen this year.

He is a great player!! But from what I have seen this year has been disappointing. Did not play well in either LIT game that I saw. Great athlete- great defender!!

First, Troutman is only a junior so he cannot be Mr. Basketball this year. Secondly, Troutman is a good player, but he is no Bopper Stenzel. Stenzel controls the game and can do, in my opinion, so much more than Troutman. I would love to have both on my team, they would be a great guard combination, but if I had to pick one- Bopper hands down!
