Boyd had a 7 point lead in 3rd quarter and did not take care of the ball. Selby played 4 min. of 1st half and never got untracked. BOYD has to feel they gift wrapped this one for elliott.

Shooting % for both teams pretty low mostly good D both ways kept score low. Elliott was pretty patient they didn't jack up 3's all over the gym.

Has morgan beat anybody they only scored 29 points against west carter?

Good Point.. Heres somethin to chew on if elliott plays a man to man Boyd will score at will on the inside, if they zone this will slow tempo, Boyd will turn their offense over till they get a good shot.

Shot wasn't fallin tonite early so looked like he shut it down, he had to chase Thomas all nite so that kept him busy don't know if Thomas had double digits or not, close.

Boyd learned a lot from last years collapse, look for this team to get a lot better by seasons end. I said before the season started this team has great chemistry, and they play extremely hard every nite that in itself will win a bunch of ballgames. They remind you of some of the old throwback Boyd teams, on paper your better than them at every position but somehow they manage to hang in there.

I could not agree more with what you are saying. I was just explaining why baseball is more successful than the other sports.

Out of Boyds top 10 or 12 players only 2 or 3 play baseball only. They start tryouts on Feb.15 and play their last fall game on or around Oct.15 each year, while playing all summer. If you play football then you obviously cant play during the summer or fall, but where does this leave time to work on basketball or other sports. The day of the 2 or 3 sport athlete is slowly going away.The commitment they have to make to 1 sport wont allow it.

You may be right, but last year boyd was a better team at the start of the season than they were at the end (much better). Dont look for that to happen this year.

Boyds version of BIG BABY..... He still thinks a double double is something to eat. 6ft 4" 300lbs. of untaped ability. Beware stock those concession stands.

True, but did anybody ever wonder why boyd will have a average football & basketball team and take those same kids year in and year out and make a state tournament run in baseball. Boyd wins all of those regions between june and jan. They simply outwork every other team, this also explains why the 2 other sports are sometimes down a little their kids play baseball 9 months a year. This is why even in a somewhat down year talent wise ,you still have to worry about how much, a good kid you have never heard about improves from one year to the next.Then they will take a couple of good athletes and plug a hole or 2. (Zack Wilson & Ryan Crisp) for example, look for these 2 to have breakout years in baseball.
