King doubled to center with 2 outs and a pinch runner (sean ryan) came in for him. Matt Reed hit a shot in between short and third, the pinch runner was waved home and was thrown out at the plate. Good call by the coach IMO even better throw by the left fielder.

right...Leslie County fans have no room to talk in this argument if anything they have advertised the Eagles to be even more invincible than Lee.

Powell County pulls out a close one against Lee. Muncie goes the distance earning the shutout for the Pirates. The score doesnt indicate how well Powell County hit the ball this game, they were hitting lasers all over the field just right at the Lee County gloves.

Kinser pitches a pretty good game against Clay to get the win going all 6 innings for the Pirates. Powell hit the ball extremely well in this tournament. Cory Brewer hit a 3 run shot in the 6th inning to seal the 10 run rule. Brewer pitched like Powells ace against Whitley earning the shutout, Powell County came out hot in this game scoring all of there runs in the early innings. Powell County got a great game out of there #5 pitcher Seth Proffit against North Laurel. Proffit went 5 innings and gave up 3 runs. Powell leaves a runner stranded on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the 7th to lose the game 5-4. Great game for both teams it was fun to watch and a see-saw battle.

There is a lot of mis conception on how fast a kids fastballs really are. To me it always seems like someone will gun a kids velocity or hear about it and get on here and add about 3-4 miles an hour on it. I hate that.

Great game for both teams, it was a nailbiter the whole game. I think that both of these baseball team will make some big noise in the 14th this year.

Well...it is really hard to say because i would have to base my opinion on last years season and i dont want to do that...a lot of things can change in a year. They only teams i have saw play this year are Powell, Estill, Owsley, and Buckhorn. Out of those four teams Davidson from Buckhorn, Smith from Owsley and of course a couple of my powell county guys are the only people that i have been impressed with.

Great game Cory Benningfield, pitched all 7 innings tonight and gave up 1 earned run. Overall it was a great team effort. Estill threatened on the bags all night but just couldnt get the big hit to bring them home...great game to both teams.

Jason will be fine im pretty sure...after he left the mound he played the remainder of the game at first base and still swung the bat the rest of the game.

what has clay done to impress anyone?
