  1. well i hope so i would love to see that kind of pitching come out of the 56th and represent it well. Hes going to need every bit of 85 to beat the competition the 56th has this year. 85 is fast
  2. live bp is usually a bad idea instead if your just trying to warm up, sure its good but only with reinforcement. if all you do is throw bp most of the time the players are just practicing bad swing mechanics and repeating them over and over. the tee is the best thing for you. weight transfer i feel is one of the best ways i feel you can improve your hitting especially hitting for power. When hitting off of a tee take your normal stance and raise your lead leg and take your knee to your chest much like you are pitching for a 3 count. To do this you must keep your weight on your back foot on the way back(loading up) and then take your normal swing. This helps a player feel what its like to shift there weight. There is millions of tee drills that i have that are hard to describe but im partial to those and they help out a lot
  3. i still like powell, they have dominated the region for the past three years and still have talent. they know how to win in district and have done it many times before. i look for that to take them through this year with lee in a close second.
  4. the university of kentucky baseball team lifts throughout the entire season sometimes right after games. i dont know exactly what they do but i know they lift three times a week. im not one to argue with a division 1 baseball program.
  5. has nothing to do with pitching, but yes i agree with you he can throw pretty hard i have seen him throw before and with a little work on his accuracy could turn into a good pitcher this year, but i dont see how robert smith could even be mentioned, no one knows what a year off can do to a pitcher and didnt think he was all that impressive in the first place.
  6. There is a lot of hidden talent that is not advertised on the Powell Co. team, they have a lot of great ball players.
  7. you cant tell me that the kids that come out in december and january that run and lift arent miles ahead of the kids that come out on the 15th.
  8. The 14th is strong this year to be the 14th but cant hold up against many of the other regions.
