I have watched all the NKY kids this year and I can say with out a second thought that Corey was the best talent this year. Austin is second and he did come on strong as the year went on but Corey keep the pace all year long. The schedule is not his fault you can't hold that against him.

This thread is not to compare Smith and Pelle two different type of athletes, this thread is to say congrats to Corey and best of luck on the next level.

This is to bad for the all A in the eigth region.

Walton takes there first lost of the season even with a great pitching performance from Hopperton. He did not give up an earned run Walton just had some errors in the field. Roberts had a good game at the plate for Walton but they could not get any runs pushed in.

Walton continues to roll with a one hit shutout saturday. I was not expecting the pitching staff to be as good as they have this year hope they can keep it up. Walton is off to a 4 and 0 start this season but really have not played the best competition yet.

To judge Corey on his schedule in high school is not far he can not control that. Sure he could of left and went and played somewhere else but that is not Corey. I watched him play over the summer in tournments and even at nationals, against some of the best such as OJ and others. He more then held his own, the kid could play DI easy it just happens he got over looked and I have a feeling it will come back and bit some people such as a NKU.

What about a Corey Pelle who went to a small school but still had one of the best seasons in the state.

Looks like NKU is following the Tubby recruting system. I had the chance to get to know Corey over the summer with him and my brother playing on the same team, and I just have to say not only is he a good ball player but a great kid. I wish him the best of luck in his future and congratulations.:dancingpa

Kentucky will have three of the top fifty players in the nation next year according to rivials.com. So it should be a good year for basketball in the state of Kentucky.

Lloyd has a good feild but I think there might of been to much rain earlier today.:irked:

They have a tough game coming up with Gallatin Co. who is a very talented team this year.

Walton off to a good start 2 and 0. the win goes to Ryan in this one with 7k's. From what I read about this game it seemed sloppy. Walton scored all there runs on walks errors and a hit batter.:eek:

Walton opens the season and the new field with a win. On a bigger note Hopperton throws a perfect game with 10Ks in 5 innings. He may be one of the best to come out of Walton by the time it is all said and done.:ylsuper:

I think Boone will be up there next year.

I have not heard anything about this and find it hard to beleive. I think he still has kids in the system so I really do not see him leaving.

You know what is real confusing is how Hill can put numbers like that up in the tournment and not make the all state team. Can someone explain that to me.:mad:

You have to go with Pettigrew you just can not deny the numbers he put up this year. As for Walls he had a good season but I no for alot of people the only chance they really got to see him play was the championship game and it was not his best game.
