I got this idea from someone else but thought it might spark some conversation.Over the past 15 years 225 Sweet 16 games have been played. Sixty eight (68) teams have won at least 1 game during this time period. The schools with over 6 wins during the past 15 years are: Scott County 17 wins Mason County 13 wins Ballard 11 wins Lexington Catholic 11 wins Warren Central 11 wins Paintsville 10 wins Pleasure Ridge Park 10 wins Holmes 9 wins South Laurel 7 wins Eastern 6 wins Male 6 wins Paducah Tilghman 6 wins

Out of your starting five there are two all state players. Holmes matches up very well with Scott County. What people dont realize is this Scott County team now runs around Chad Jackson.A announcer said it best " By the end of his senior year we could be looking at a player ranked as one of the top 25 players in America". Yes Scott will obviously miss Richie. However if Chad can stay out of foul trouble, Scott County is still a very tough out. Tamron and Isiah have the chance to step up and show what they have got.

There are still three all state players in that line up. Not another team in the state has that.

Just heard that the MRI was much worse than expected. Richies high school career is over.

Just heard that as of right now Richie will play tomorrow. He had and MRI today and it could be a slight tear or only a bruise. You can play with this type of injury. Bud Mackey had the same type of injury in they state tournament two years ago. However he will only be at about 75%.

In the article from the Herald. Hicks said he believes he has a bruised knee and thinks he will be ok. I hope he is ok, it will be ashame to end his high school career by an injury. Scott County was very lucky to get the win today.Without Richie and Chad for alot of the game, they showed alot of guts. This team will go as far as Chad Jackson takes them. There is no better player in the state right now than him. Scott is a different team without him in the lineup. Should be another great game Tuesday. The greatest rivalry in Kentucky High School Basketball.

Holmes did not go to Pittman nearly enough. He could have had 30 if they made it a priority to get him the ball.

Great teams make you play the style they want to play. Holmes does not press or trap to force the tempo. They have the athletes to force their will on a team like Ryle, yet they dont do it. If Holmes were playing Scott Co. last night they would have been beat by double digits. You Holmes fans keep living off that Scott Co. win. What you dont realize is Scott Co. has improved leaps and bounds, Holmes Im not so sure.

I went last night and there was no stall ball played. Holmes is just as deliberate and methodical on offense as Ryle.Holmes does not push the tempo at all. People keep saying Holmes is going to break out, sorry to tell you at this time of year "you are what you are". Holmes has a great chance to win a title, but they are not going to blow many teams out in doing it. And they will never be considered a high powered offense like Elliott or Scott.

Your right Guyn is the second leading scorer on Scott Co.

Scott County led by 20with four minutes to go, Hicks pulled Jackson, Euton, and Manning. Henry Clay then went on a run to make the score a little closer. Hicks actually had to put the three back in as Scott had trouble with the full court press. Jackson struggled tonight as he has been sick with flu all week. Any way there are your stats, I usually post stats for many Scott County games, I guess you just have never seen them.

Final. Glad to see Henry Clay finally make it back to the regionals, its been a few years.
