I think PCC will beat Hazard sometime this year but not in this one. Coach Holland is struggling to find some identity with his team and I think he will before the year is out. I think Pcc will win the next one probably in tourney time. Hazard by 5...

It is what it is and Bell needs to put this behind them and move on. They need to concentrate on the rest of the year and they cant do that if they dont move on. Bell has a great amount of talent and they can make a run for the 13th. You can't change the past but you have a say so about the future.

I am not sure why the Herald Leader would rank teams in the top 25 that have losing records. I guess it helps them to sell papers if certain local teams are in there. IMO

JBS has not played against a team this year that has a press as good as Bell. They are very athletic and never seem to tire. JBS needs to look at game film on this one and make some necessary adjustments to this part of their game.

That is the point I was trying to make that most freshman are 15 or older. Chad is a very nice player and Rose Hill will be fun to watch the next few years.Good luck ...

JBS will have to play well to get to Rupp in the first place but if they do I am sure they would represent the 14th well. It is nice of you to pick out their worst showing of the year and dwell on that game instead of giving them credit for a good showing in the WYMT.

He is a going to be a very good player and if he is 14 right now he is very worthy of the honor....

The thing about Bell is that they are very talented and they looked to me that they can play with anyone they meet. They need to gel with the players they have and they will be fine. Coach Whitaker seems to be a class act and I expect them to compete for the 13th region this year. Good luck to Bell....

Everything you are saying is true but the thing most people dont understand is that most freshman that are great are not 14 . Someone should start a thread called "Freshman that are 14 years old as of today and average 18 points a game on varsity that play for a team with a winning record" . I am curious if there are any....

After watching Bell play I honestly think they are a serious threat to SL in the 13th. I think alot of kids stepped up for Bell and if Slusher was there then maybe those kids wouldnt of had the kind of games they did. It probably is unfair to JBS who beat 3 good teams to say IF.....

Bell was one of the most athletic teams I have seen in a long time. They can jump out of the gym and never stop on defense. I would love to watch the game when they meet South Laurel in the region. Should be a great game and I think they have a shot to beat South Laurel and that is not taking anything away from South Laurel but this Bell team is nice.

This was one of the best WYMT tourneys ever with a lot of close games and lots of action. Congrats to June Buchanan on the win and also to all the 80 kids that won academic scholarships for their hard work in the classroom.

Why did Holmes have 4 starters out?

This is probably most peoples biggest complaint with Clark Stepp and it is probably accurate. He needs to dish off more when he gets in the lane and after a couple of nice passes teams will have to pull off him some and he will get better shots. To his defense though he has a lot more positives than negatives and had a great tourney and congrats to him on winning MVP of the tourney.

This was a great basketball game between two very good teams . Bell has impressed me to the point that I think they have a legitimate shot to win the 13th. They play extremely hard,can shoot from everywhere,and can jump out of the gym. Good luck to them this season. June Buchanan is so deep and Collins,Short,Hall, and CLint Stepp really stepped up in game when Bell tried to concentrate on Stepp and Cox. I think Clint Stepp(the freshman) and Trey Short were the two top scorers in this game. JBS beat three really nice teams to win this tourney and I think really matured as a team. CLark Stepp,Clint Stepp,Trey Short and Tate Cox won all tourney awards.
