When is this game being played?

If Mercer shoots the 3 the way they did in their last outting I would take them. But if they shoot free throws like the they did, I will go with East. I believe with nerves as a factor... I will go with the home team. East in a close one 77-75

I also predict record popcorn sales for the concession stand.

Based on results from this year. I think Boyle can beat Lincoln, but I think PC can beat Boyle, but I think West can beat PC And I think East can beat West I think McCreary can beat East I think Wayne can beat McCreary I think Somerset can beat Wayne I think Southwestern can beat Somerset I think Mercer can beat Southwestern And I think Lincoln can beat Mercer. What I really think is that even though Lincoln may be a slight favorite this Region is wide open.

I think Pc wins big, Somerset handles Casey. PC wins in the finals over somerset by 3 in OT.

Thanks for the link strike 3. The way I read this supports my case that the official was wrong to remove the guy from the gym for merely saying that was a horrible call. The administration should have had him removed. The problem was if the administration removed him for what he said they would have to have removed the other 148 people that was in the stands. God bless the officials, and Its a shame a few have to tarnish the profession.

I agree that fans should show sportsmanship. But I have been to numerous games throughout my life and this was the first time I have ever seen a guy removed from the gym for only saying "that was a horrible call." I think officials have a tough job to do. I would not want to be an official. I respect 99% of all officials. But unfortunately there are a few who give the profession a bad name by overstepping their authority. Or in this case by going on some power trip.

I disagree I believe this guy was a coward. I believe he was a Rabbit earrred , yellow belly coward for throwing the guy out of the gym. He overreacted in a big time way. Sure I have made mistakes at my job. But when someone said you made a mistake I didnt have them removed from the building. You say 1000s of people yelling at you. Well my point is this, how do you single out one guy. This guy yelled " That was a horrible call" , He didn't say you a horrible ref, He didn't talk about his momma, he didn't use any profanity. The referee was just plain wrong to have the guy removed from the gym. Now if there is a guy who berates a ref over and over again, threatens a ref, then I would agree he needs to be removed from the gym. But to throw someone out for voicing their disapproval of a call is COWARDLY. I think officials have a tough job. I don't blame losses on them.

I saw the same thing happen at a game this weekend. A fan shouted "that was a horrible call" and the ref had him removed from the gym. Those were the first words he said to the ref. IMO refs like that are yellow bellied cowards.

If the 14th is trading with the 12th then you will be ok. I think the top refs in the 12th are as good as any in the state.

Trevor Jones scored on a put back of a TW Sears missed 3 pointer as the horn sounded that should have given SW a 2 point victory in regulation. The video shows that the shot should have counted. The official who made the call had no idea if it was good or not because he was tangled up with a mercer player that ran into him after attempting to block the Sears 3 pt. shot. So he guessed the shot didnt count and it went into overtime. In Overtime a Mercer Co. player hit a 3 pointer with about 2 seconds to go to give the Titans the win. Mercer Co. was ahead by 8 with under 2 min. to go and SW went on a run thanks to several missed FT by mercer. Mercer hit 12 3 pointers but was like 7-21 from the FT line. If the Titans shoot the 3 like they did tonight then they will be very dangerous in tourney time.

I agree Andy, Mark Flynn has done a great job. But the best job in the 12th this year could go to Travis Upchurh at Monticello. He has brought that team a long way in a short time.

Yes but I think Whitleys biggest lead was 3 -5 in the first half. I think they were down by about 4 at half time. Monticello went a run in the 3Q and pushed the lead to double digits where it stayed the rest of the night. #15 McFarland was red hot from the 3 point line. I think he hit 5 or 6 for the game.

According to Mountain News clips Bell was up by 1 with about 15 seconds to go when Hammonds drove baseline and banked in a short shot to put South up 1. A Bell kid rushed the ball upcourt and looked to try to draw contact and ended up shooting an off balance air ball as time expired. I think Spillywilly was :laugh: at the part that SL only wanted to win by one.

While you guys are knockin Pulaski being to high they have beaten Somerset at Somerset , Southwestern at Southwestern and Boyle at Boyle. They are playing well right now. There starting lineup is 6'0, 6'2, 6'4, 6'5, and 6'8

Monticello is a much improved team from earlier in the year.
